Sounds like a guy in a downward-spiral midlife self-obsessed crisis who will one day
soon just become another leach and suck the national teat for the rest of his life.

    hardly anything I'd consider inspiring.

Cross country in a Gallardo ? Ugh

I'd much rather do it in a Caddy CTS V or an M5

Thought it was pretty neat to see a high mileage Gallardo like that, anyone seen one with higher miles?

Didn't a journalist in England reach 90 or 120k miles...or kilometers. I think he had a chain failure too?

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

    How's he a leach....sold a business, hasn't defaulted on anything...now building bikes....

..Aww...Eric.....the passion for the car....the car....

    ...is someone getting old? :D

    Com'on guys...don't you get it....

Hey put all his focus on pleasing this one woman....wrong thing to ever do.... and she broke his heart.

So....how does he cope? He buys a crazy ass car ( normal car to this forum) and drives the wheels off.

He worked hard to please this chick...bought a "mc mansion" for her, in her local, gave up some cars for her.....then she dumps him....I think he dodged a bigger bullet.

Too bad about the timing chain....and we thought only timing belts had issues... :D

Now that's he's gathered himself together, he's back at metal fabrication...choppers... has a girl...

happy ending.....what's so wrong? At least he didn't go "postal" in some shopping mall like we're all to used to hearing about.

I just hope he got some action along the way....

Wow...interesting story indeed. Did anyone else catch the "mistake" in the pictures? In some pictures, the Lamborghini had an aftermarket spoiler and black wheels. In some pictures, there is no spoiler and normal silver wheels. Two seperate cars? Owner decided to make the changes along the way?

"And if money doesn't buy you freedom then it's useless."

Between the 2 of you, I'd go with Richard Jordan.

"I don't travel without guns, I've been in too many situations so I always carry one or two guns with me". That line told me most of what I needed to know. A regular genius.

"It worked everyday, it worked like it was supposed to, it never broke down". Wow, just wow. So what's a Gallardo with a hand-grenaded engine? If not broken down? This guy takes delusion to new heights.

So lets review: Einstein spent $180,000 on a car that is now a non-runner with 92,000 miles on the clock, and on which he still owes $90,000. Its probably worth $30,000.

By the way, what is the life expectancy of a Gallardo engine before it goes 'bang'? 92,000 miles?

Years ago I always wanted to do a cross country ride on a motorcycle, if I had the time (but not at the expense of everything), now I 'd like to back pack or what ever across Europe or Austrailia. He's lucky he didn't pick an old Lamborghini (or old Ferrari). The story would have then gone, I made it almost 30 kilometers out of town & had a minor break down that required a engine out service. I had to walk home. Oh wait I had no home. I slept under a bridge eating rodents for 6 months, waiting for the parts to show up....

Assuming he didn't do any of the maintenance how much did he save?

    That's him?

Nice story though. Must have been quite an experience to drive over 90K miles & Lambo should've been proud of the reliability.
