I didn't mean to imply it was "overpriced". I think that's a decent price for a no stories car. I thought I read earlier that it was a repo. Maybe that was a different car.
I got my cars confused, my mistake. The Grigio Titanio at Autosport Designs and also on ebay is a clean one owner car, no stories as far as I know.
Two more CS's for sale. Great time to buy, summer is here! Rosso scuderia w/ red & blk alcantara, 12.4k mi $139.9k @ Pristine Motorcars Rosso scuderia w/ red & blk alcantara, 11.6k mi $139.8k @ The AutoGallery; this CS formerly owned by two Fchatters.
bumping this question since IF nobody has bought it, AND you are still kvetching about not being able to find a car at decent value....then this thread is nearly pointless.
Not quite; as a few other people are looking it seems. More than 20,000 views here since it was started on March 13th. I thought you got yours! CH
i did. but the tipo car is for sale. first offered to fchat members. its a good car at a correct price. if none of the 'buyers' posting in this thread buy that, then they have only been kidding themselves and us that they are really buyers. i am not trying to be nasty. and i have appreciated this thread since it helped me to buy mine. so this is just my opinion, without having seen the car etc.
I agree with Ross this thread helped my buy mine also. Jeffreys black CS is one hell of a deal.........if the so called posters that are looking pass this one up then they are merely posters and NOT really looking.
"Price" and "value" are simply one of many criterion for prospective buyers. Who is to say someone on the hunt for red with oem stripe would settle for Tipo's just b/c it's an Fchatter's car at a decent value? Some buyers are looking for the right "deal" all around... and when I say "deal" I am not simply focused on just price but rather the right color, options, mileage, history, price, etc. that makes a buyer satisfied with their overall purchase and not just merely some impulsive transaction to be part of the crowd. If it were just about getting a clean car at a good price, there have been several available since this thread started.
some of you guys are waaaay too hung up about color. any of the classic cs colors is a good color. when i was looking, all i cared about was mileage, maintenance and condition. i saw one in yellow, which is not my favorite, so i looked into wrapping it. then mine came along. as far as tipo's is concerned, his color scheme is about as cool as it gets. if you absolutely needed a stripe, then you can get a stick on one. the math is simple on this guys. i may have some of these numbers wrong so correct me on the minutae, but 1245 approx made. less than 400 in the usa. at least half of these are likely to no longer be the optimum mileage/condition combo having been tracked hard and wrecked etc. so out of the remaining 200 spread out across the country, there are maybe 50 for sale at any one time. given the color choices, half of these are red, and then the rest in declining numbers are firstly black, then yellow, then grey, then white, then whatever. half of them have stripes. so if you are holding out for a silver one with a stripe, there are likely about 2 for sale in all of the usa. GFL. regardless of your dream color/stripe choice, when a good car comes along, take it. get over the color or wrap it.
Nothing wrong with being "just" an info collector on the CS. After all, I bet Jason has received tons of PM's from folks seeking his CS info. I get several PM's daily/weekly.
Jason if you purchase a CS before the end of the year I will personally send u a check for 1k This is on a public forum and and I am a man of my word...........so bring it!! VIN and pics
I just purchased the Rosso Scuderia with OEM stripe from Lake Forest Sports Cars. I paid over what some of the sage posters here would consider a FMV deal. But this car is a stud, no stories car. To me, that has value. In the last few months I've gotten to know Andrew (a/k/a "stokpro") and I've been amazed at how many cars have issues; cars which, on the surface, look like nice cars. One car after another is exposed as a problem car in some way, e.g. wrecked and repaired. If you pay $147K for the right car, what's the big deal? So you pay $10K "too much"... the value is in peace of mind knowing you won't end up surprised and disappointed by a lurking, hidden problem. There was a guy on this forum proclaiming recently that he would rather sit in his boat than overpay for a C.S. WTF, a boat typically depreciates faster than a Ferrari. IMO, that guy doesn't really want a car, and is looking for an excuse not to buy one. If you find the right car, buy the f*cking thing. Life is too short.
