Good thought but only come in black on white and are nearly as tall as slimline custom plates (98mm cf 100mm).

The first car in Adelaide is only 2 weeks away. I'll take a tape measure to the launch. :)

could transfer mhh to a bike and then back again, bikes have black/gold custom same as cars. [214mm x 95mm] vs [371mm x 100mm] for the slimline car plates...

just checked.... premium slimline (cc-111w) is 83mm tall... hmmm

looks to me that the plate is over the horse. I don't really care for the horse being positioned there.

Wouldn't it come with a mounting bracket of some sort? No doubt ateco will be required to supply one if not.

I'm guessing the the post that holds the horse can be removed to enable the plate to be mounted flat on the panel between the air intakes if need be.

It's just a good thing that Australia has such a wide choices of plate styles, sizes and colours.

Yes, and you can be sure it will locate the plate just where you don't want it.

Yep, I'd definitely remove the horse (I should have made this clear in my post by saying that the plate is fitted over where the horse is located).

I would take pic one post one. My State requires one but the fine is $35 and no points. I don't have one on my GTI and wouldn't put one on a Ferrari.

that's the same solution everyone adopt in Italy.. unfortunately in Monaco we can't avoid the front plate so a friend just went for the sticker solution..

He'd be better off with a small plate. The last car a sticker looked good on was the E-type.

I wish I could say how I was going to mount MY front plate on MY 458.:eek:

That wont be happening for a very long time sadly. :D:D

Anywho, I would remove the front horsey and use those brackets to mount a slimline plate there. :):)

The BEST place for it. The stickers and the plates above and below the horse look crap IMO. :):)

Can you mount the plate in the centre where the horse is and put the horse back in place over top of the place (centered?)

My car just arrived at dealer. I was planning to put the front plate where the cavallino is located, but the dealer argues that such a position will impact the air flow negatively....
they rather recommend to put it slightly above and behind the horse, like on the last picture on the first post...
Not as beautiful, but I can understand their concern on aerodynamic. What do you think?

458 owners should ask your local government/state for an exemption due to the fact that Ferrari doesn't mfr a legitimate front license plate holder.

Someone posted a pic recently in one of the other threads of a 458 in London without front plates. Not sure how long he'll get away with that in the U.K.

Was your first plan to remove the horse? Or to remove the post that the horse is mounted on and fit the plate flush on the black fascia? Either way, I'd say the aerodynamics wouldn't be any more affected than mounting on the bumper like most UK cars have.

my plan was to remove the horse. Problem is it would be just in front of the aero opening below the horse.
Now my choice is to mount the plate with an angle, on the black surface above the horse. Not as beautiful.....
Unfortunately sticker is not allowed in Switzerland, and I wouldn't survive long without a plate...
