Does anyone know what the story was for that green Gallardo? It had FL temporary dealer tags which was unusual enough but a smokin' hot blonde who looked to be in her early 20s drove away in it.

some really nice ordinary cars out there today.... I had no idea the Merc SLS was such a big car. I haven't seen that much space infront of an engine since the 69' Pontiac Grand Prix. The "tribute" testarossa was.... interesting?

What's that orange-framed ride? I see it has track stickers on it.

I agree with several above - there were a lot of ordinary cars crowding the lot, but if you looked there were some terrific older cars in residence - including a HUGE and perfect old GMC Surburan, a split window 63 FI Vette, and the return of Ollies F40. The most extrodinary thing there was an amazingly restored small red motorcycle near the front, I am blanking on the name, but it was wonderful.

That was an MV Augusta restored to within an inch of it's life! Beautiful machine that only the Italian's know how to do so well.

    Good seeing you out there!

I have to agree that the Orange Suburban was outstanding..and packed with Dad bringing his kids to the show was to me what its all about. I missed the MV, but thats my ultimate bike. I don't think Ive ever seen such a turn out before, I got there at 0815 thanks to roadwork on the beltway, and could only find parking on the side way down past Dave Kinney's place...I think soon you're going to have to get there the night before and camp out to get a space..

Hey, that's my car, I got it last June from Lamborghini Carolinas. My family and I live in Florida but spend the summers in VA so that I can compete my horses here.

Pictures do not do justice to the Auburn! This is a superlative car that most of us dream of. They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

We had a good time this morning. It was fun to see so many friends.
Here is a pic of my better half in front of our blue 550.
And a few more pics of some of the different cars that were there.

BTW, best time to get there is 7 a.m. (yikes, that's early for a Saturday!).
We got there at 8:20 a.m. today. People start to leave at 9:15 or so.

This weekend seemed to have the biggest attendance yet all summer. Awesome cars, fun time....F40, SLS, several Maranellos, Ford GT, a bunch of Cobras (some of whom were real), Vipers, etc.

Toggie, didn't know that 550 was yours....beautiful car!

    Cross posting this with FLife:

Anyone interested in a drive this Saturday (July 3) before or after the Great Falls C&C? I was thinking it would be nice to do a drive with the FLife/Fchat posse.

I could also do Sunday July 4 if that works better for most people.

I'd defer to Lashdeep etc. to figure out routes etc. Target maybe 2 hours of hard driving. I was thinking of the following plan:
    - Coffee @ Katie's
    - Gawk at some cars
    - Go for a drive
    - Everyone stay back for brunch somewhere at the end of the drive

Nothing fancy really - just a nice way to spend a Saturday/Sunday morning. Significant others are obviously welcome - and those with kids could have their significant others meet us with their kids at the brunch venue.

Just putting the thought out there.

Sounds good to me. I think if we have more than 6-8 cars, it becomes difficult.

Anyone want to meet tonight for a drive? Sure is nice out.
