Can anyone give me an idea of what the CO reading should be on a 2V at full temp (fans on) and NO CATS! I am using a Gunnson CO tester stuck up the tailpipe. Lost

I wasn't getting any replies to this one and now I know why! My age is showing. I went back through all my old threads and found that Steve M. had already answered this question awhile back. Thanks to whomever designed this forum---------------- being able to refresh an old brain ,by going back and reviewing threads, is extremely helpful!
    regards, Tom

I think they run best at about 5-6% idle

I appreciate the reply and I suggest no argument but Steve M. suggests that before the Cats or with no Cats the CO value would be best at 1.5 - 2.0. I have set it at 2 and I have set it as high as 4.5 and find that 2.0 runs nice and clean but my issue still seems to be startability at either setting. I have to peddle the engine until warm and then all is well. I can achive a cold control pressure of 1.8 Bar at 15C ,as the graph in the quatro manual suggests but it still results in a cold start problem. Once the light goes out all is well and hot starts are no issue. Still scratching my head. I have totally removed the cold start system and then replaced it with a new AAV and a functioning cold start air valve (leaks slightly with normal breath pressure applied to the closed valve. Everyone seems to agree that 3K is too high and I agree but I cannot ,as of yet, achieve a normal increased idle without pedeling the throttle. When I say idle I mean ,as the manual suggests, full engine temp with cooling fans on. ????? Tom

Thanks for the reply pilot! Since I am learning the engine management system on the 2V 308 I tried a full range of CO settings following any advice that I have received on this great forum. I made some goofy mistakes in the process but after all said and done my engine likes 4-4.5 so thanks for the tip. lost
