Anyone here got their 458 yet?

With 458s being spotted everywhere in Europe now, are any of the owners members here?

Australia received it's first car last week but it is stll in the dealer's hands. Have US deliveries started?

 

Mark- Yes they have. Saw one in late May owned by someone really well-connected.

How did you find the seats in this 458? Did you order the sports racing seats yourself?

tbh that Rosso Fuoco car has standard seats and I didn't like them - I've always ordered my cars with the race seats

In fact the seats together with the speed indicator (which is difficult to see) were the only negative things about the car - everything else was fantastic

Nothing, it's just a personal choice - I've always had the race ones in my 430s and Scuderia so I just found the standard ones felt different

 

sit in them, then sit in the racing seat and you will have the answer.... As strange as it sounds, the racing seat are more comfortable in term of back support, in particular if you are quite tall.

 

Good choice on the seats! I thought the color looked a little 'pumped up' for Rosso Corsa so nice to know it's Rosso Fuoco. The custom paint colors are especially light sensitive but really spring to life in the sunshine. Did you order the tri tone yellow or something else on the 458?

My car arrived in the US last night after a week logistics delay. Dealers are now sending their technicians to 458 training, some dealers have trained technicians already. The question is now whether or not dealers and FNA can get the technicians trained to conduct PDI's fast enough as cars are arriving this week. Was told this morning that car should be at dealer Wednesday but technician is at 458 school until Friday, which means I can probably go look at the car this week but cannot get car until he returns from school and can check it out. This was relayed to me this morning, I make no claim as to the accuracy of the information.

I'm eager as well, lot's of hype behind this car so it will be interesting to actually use it on the road and then take it to the track to push the systems for some "novice" comparisons.

 

My car is sitting in my garage for nearly two months now.

Ordering mine on Weds. Still lots of choices up in the air. Thinking Rossa Corsa/Nero Race Seats.

so after you do a custom order for a new 458, how long should the process take till its finally in your hands??

 

Does anyone know if the list price of the 458 gets revalued downward by FNA since the Euro has fallen?
