So, that extra rider where we insure the car for eg S$500K. is not worth S$500k when there's a write-off during the cover? That's what I was told but knowing insurance co. they can always come up with all the crap....
The wings are intact but that chick looks quite sexy, any front pics of her? ah, it's in Russia, no wonder it doesn't look like a mainstream country.
Hahaa! Every drive in the SE is always great! Yes, we have done 320 according to the meters but did not have a GPS in the car to verify at that time.
What is the point of insuring our cars then? It's like you're not really getting your value for money from what I'm reading here.
It was a disaster! My cars are alright but there were quite a number of cars including exotics when it happened. Orchard road looked like a pond when I looked down from my office window that day.
Good to know that your car is alright. Luckly the driver drop me to office again that day so car was not in the car park!
Just took an under 10K km car for a spin. WOW! No wonder Tiong's smitten I'm very surprised that the accelerator is at least 30% more sensitive than my turbo & very spritely @ that! A light tap & the car surges forward. Makes my tuned up turbo feels like a farmed pig instead of a wild boar Oh & that exhaust sound track! OK, key handed over & I shut that swan wing door. The dealers walked away & I know nothing about this car! The meter lights up to a classy xenon white looking like some non-green McIntosh system~ nice. Press the centre starter button & engine fires up. OK played the paddles erh... nothing. No gearstick!? Oh, then it must be one of those four round buttons which has a D, R, P etc. So, touch the D & yes! 1st gear engaged, window lowered & off I go. Unfortunately, the car came on some fancy deep dish wheels (ugly IMO) with SO3s which tramlined a fair bit. Got stuck in traffic & cruise along for a while then found an open lane on junction, switched to manual & I stepped on it when the light turns green. Brrrrrghhhhh woo hoo Not bad. It roars! It actually threw me back to the seat before I hit the next gear & saw a needle going down clockwise on the right meter?! Oh, so that's the rev counter & unlike traditional rev counters which goes from your lower left & clockwise up to right, this one goes from lower right then anti-clockwise to left. Queer, the British does do things different, not sure if Jaguar is such. Anyway, I must have hit at least 6k rpm & there's 8 which I suspicious don't think it revs that high & there are no red markings for the "danger" zone like normal cars. Took a quick turn after Fullerton towards Victoria then R city & it's fine, solid & planted but steering not as direct or sensitive as the Porsche. Doesn't feel as tight or nimble but fine since the car is larger & likely heavier. @ the next junction, half the pedestrians took a 2nd look @ the nose with a few guys squeezing their eyes to make out what it is. Well, it's not everyday that you see an Aston Martin. Not sure what specs was done to this car as there is a suspension upgrade option. I'm surprised so few people owns it. Perhaps they rarely have a test-car & waiting time is rather long. Tiong's a blessed man, with a DBS & manual gearbox
Ah, so the factory did soften the initial throttle afterall in a late model. http://www.caradvice.com.au/19444/2009-aston-martin-db9-review/ Anyway, my friend bought a used unit & it's being repainted to pearl white now with crystal clear tailamps to be added.
Oh this is hilarious! Watch it on big screen & turn up the volume http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEutBWpaiTQ
So what's your final verdict? Good enough to buy one? Definitely looks good enough to die for. The clear tail lights from the DBS are a nice touch. Prefer them to the normal red ones.
Anything is good as long as the wallet is willing Oh dear, I didn't even know that the clear lens are from DBS
Yep, I reckon the clear lights offer a cleaner look. Although anyone who's turning down ANY Aston Martin for the reason of less beautiful tail lamps ought to be shot.
Heng. If you had driven, your car could have gone diving and i would feel terrible as i had just encouraged you to start driving to office.
Hahaa! But I have to say that after your encouragement, I wanted to start driving myself again. Luckly when the flood happen, I have not started!
