I agree with the rest, definitely go for the DB9 without hesitation! Owning an Aston is a once in a lifetime experience worth trying. It is definitely more understated than the Flying B, which is a advantage since you'll be travelling to KL quite frequently. I'm sure the DB9 eats up the miles almost as well as the GTC does too. At the end of the day, it's all about Power. Beauty. Soul. And a key unlike any other u'll ever see (Aston calls it an Emotional Control Unit. Now how cool is that for a key!!) So is your wallet willing? They can also be found on the new V12 Vantage and Rapide. I think they are replacing the red ones across the board.
You mean you noticed the heels?? I was too focused on ehh.. the wing mirror! Jon, I believe there is a crack somewhere near that mirror .
is there? damn, u pilot eyes, i chk tom morrning i think tis mark not 18 like he claimed leh, knows the trade
Well being a budding photographer, I tend to notice the technical aspects such as composition, lighting, et cetera in addition to the subject
BTW are there 2 308GT4s in SG? Just saw a red one on sale, SG carmart. I always thought that the yellow one was the one and only. Pity about the looks as it is a good car.
Hello Fchat! Douglas and I are organising a brudderhood drive on the 3rd of July. Simply put your name here or PM me directly and I will PM you the details. Hope to see you guys soon
both cars are rather different. One a convertible and another a coupe. The roof of most convertibles like Aston cost about Sin 25K to replace. I think you can buy insurance for that but if you don't have one, it can be expensive if some nice guy in malaysia decides to poke a hole. From the looks dept, i prefer the Aston. I read that Edo did a DBS conversion for a russian customer and if they offer that in the future, that could be interesting. My vote is for the Aston. What's the color of the car you are looking at?
Technical in the fact that 2010 - 1992 = 18, but I'm still 17 Although it could be frivolous usage of the word too Well, the biggest perk would be I'll be able to get a driving license. Drinking and smoking, just aren't my thing.
That is a very valid question that you raised as I forgot about the roof getting into trouble. The dealer did give me a 1year/30k km warranty but as far as I asked, the Conti GT has not had any problems so far being a Volkswagon Took a test drive on both today. The GTC is quite nice. Very well put together & not much noise when everything is shut while it does have a rather nice exhaust note when u step on it. There are 4 settings on the suspension & even 2 ride heights plus a normal "D" & "S" mode drive for the stick with a tip-tronic stick shift. Paddle over-rides are smooth but it does not have the urgency on moving off the ground like the 997. U step on it & there's a split-sec hesitation before launching forward. All round visibility is good. The torque is pleasing. Did not drive with the top down though. Overall, a rather impressive car but the looks don't exactly thrill me & like an obese, especially when parked next to the slippery curvey Aston. Anyway, took it to the NUS twisty but did not have much chance to prove itself due to traffic but not much body roll & you can feel a behemoth when pointing the nose. It does like open roads much better. Took the DB9 for a change. Put my kids @ the rear & not pleasing @ all even for a 3yr old! This one has the sports suspension & quite a sporty feel. It urges you to drive it fast but it is a tad slower than the turbo without the "grand slam drama" & not as impressive as I thought. Perhaps this is due to a higher mileage car? I have two choices, this gun metal unit & the other, a black-bronze with the latter costing a whopping $40k more for similar age but better condition. Ideally, I would like to have the GTC & 997 as the latter is still a class on it's own, very agile & powerful car but life is not rosy. Time to feel contented
Saw this in youtube..any bro here fix this ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLFPCBdUoWQ&feature=related
Wow haven't had the chance to spot my first one yet. Does it have at least half of the road presence of its big brother?
Daniel has more details about the drive, please send him a PM to find out more. The route has yet to be planned, so feel free to send in your suggestions! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jon, DB9 FTW personally. Unless u park your cars at public car parks when shopping, getting a soft top shouldn't be a problem here IMO. Just opt for the valet services like the one in Pavilion, they're really good! Although, pray that no idiot decides to throw a lit cigarette on your roof, I've seen it happen myself in Mid Valley, was surprised people would stoop that low
That invitational poster's stunning! Brilliant work on that. Quite fortunate that I'm posting / reading this via mobile device, can't imagine turning my monitor around
