I was just told that the GTO will be on display at Park Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. Depending on whether the detailing gets done it may be Thursday morning.

I was in Manhattan three weeks ago. The Ferrari-Maserati Park Ave Showroom was being converted into a Ferrari Store. I wasn't aware that the Ferrari stores would have actual Automobiles on display. Thought it was more of a tee shirt and souvenir production :(

Dealership is on the corner. Walk south inside the space and you get to the store--you can access it from inside.

Just dropped by Ferrari Dealer on Park Ave.

The Red GTO is there; along with a 288 GTO, and a nice 250 PF Series II Spyder.

I took phone camera pictures, but most of them are not as good as other pics posted here. However, I will post one, and if you like it, I will post a couple more. Didn't take a lot, cause I knew the phone cam was not great quality.

You and I must have been there at almost the same time. That girl in the white hat was standing beside the GTO and then went inside as I was there.

It's not a 250 PF Series II, but 2561GT, a 1961 250 GT California Spyder Passo Corto, and in my opinion the most beautiful car ever built, with this combinaison of dark blue and red leather :)
The GTO isn't so bad too :p

I was not there. My friend took these pictures and e-mailed them to me since he knew I have a GTO.

I am not familiar with the Passo Corto, but I agree that it was one of the most elegant and beautiful cars I have ever seen.

    I miss NY..

Hopefully some 288 owner here would get the new GTO soon and do a photoshoot together; I think they make a great pair :)

I have looked at the pictures again, and the side vents are clearly present, which would indicate the car you have suggested. However, the front of the car was not pure GT SWB. The front grill of the car in New York was more rounded and smaller than the grille of the SWB. And the headlights were on a very slight, but still noticeable angle. When I walked up from the front, I thought GT II (because it looked like the 275 and 330).

I admit that I can be wrong on the finer distinctions of these older cars, but if this was a GT SWB, it appeared to have some modifications to the front.

    I'm sure yes :)
The plate PK-1, the car, it is 2561GT. It is of 1961, not 1959 as written in the article.

    Thanks.

As much as I loved the GTO, the 250 was the star of the show. Hands down.

    Sure!
It's more and more beautiful, exceptional, rare etc than the 599 :)

I just saw the GTO and a white 458 on Park Ave. I felt like the cool TSA agent felt on the couch in "She's Out of My League" -- messy . . .

(I hope the fact that this duo is currently on Park isn't old news.)

The white 458 has been there a while. The GTO arrived a little over 2 weeks ago. It's not old news. But who cares . . . anytime you see beautiful Ferraris it is always timely.

The 458 in person looks very aggressive.
