I was taking some night pictures of the pool a few days ago, and figured I'd share them here as well. The pool has LED lighting....the main pool light has several primary colors as shown (magenta, blue, green, red, white) and infinite combinations of thereof. It is SO neat, and really by far the best "extra" we added by a long shot. It has multiple settings depending on what mood you're in; caribbean (blues and greens), tequila sunrise (reds, yellows, oranges), patriotic (red, white, and blue), party (fast changing bright colors), etc. I also went back and added 3 small solid color LED's, one under a waterfall, one in the small cave, and one in the beach entry area.

Here is a shot of my pre-remodel pool. I was going to do the remodel this past winter but ended up (unexpectedly) repiping my house and adding a tankless water heater instead. Anyhow, now I'm down to designing the remodel. The photos in here are both inspirational and somewhat depressing. I don't think I'll ever get anywhere close to the beauty of some of these pools.

I'm thinking of doing the following:

    - New quartz plaster (subtle darker coloring)
    - New tile and poured coping
    - Bamboo along the back fence
    - Remove all concrete decking
    - Add draught-tolerant plants, grasses, etc all around pool
    - Carve out a few gravel pads for loungers

All good ideas, though I would leave out any gravel. Gets in the pool and is a pain to walk on with bare feet.
