took them long enough. I wonder how often they are going to update it. Been over a decade now and I've probably only gone on Aa's website maybe around 10 times.
If you look at the website under Ferrari In Music....you will see this Ferrari California George Michael 1:18 scale in black OMG.....!! That looks awesome! I don't mind paying up to $100.00 if the model that's gonna come out will look exactly like that. Please Hotwheels....make it look like that! Those rims are awesome!
Anyone have any pics of the 599 Elite in "polished silver metallic"? I'm curious about that one and can't find it on the site. Thanks.
Well I thought since it's the George Michael version they would make it a little special, but I'm still hopeful since so far we've only seen the California in red and blue. I've never seen a black one yet.
Here ya go mate. One for sale on Ebay Australia at the moment. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ferrari-599-GTB-Fiorana-Elite-1-18-Scale-/250497918389?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item3a52d6e5b5 There are plenty more pics of it on the Ebay ad if you want to check them out. Yes, I do hope they make it EXACTLY like that one in the pic because it does look sensational. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just found a black one for sale from the same seller on Ebay Australia. Doesnt look too bad in black/tan. This is not the Elite version either. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ferrari-California-1-18-Scale-Diecast-Model-/290431764968?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item439f1509e8 Image Unavailable, Please Login
For Christ sake.... They have a Mondial 8 in an Elite version but not the F355 Berlinetta, one of the most iconic modern Ferraris. BTW, not offense to Mondial owners. It just seems rather odd.
If you interested to buy it follow this link: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-art-collectibles-HOT-WHEELS-Elite-Ferrari-F1-M-Schumacher-Alonso-W0QQAdIdZ199264628
I was planning on trying to find an Elite California diecast (more difficult than I expected since I waited until now to try). I may just wait for the replica of George Michael's California since I really prefer those rims. I didn't realize George Michael was a Ferrari owner- good for him. Now if he can just stay out of trouble...with the car and in other matters... ;-)
OK, I have a question. Someone here had said before that Mattel are really trying and even send some sort of questionnaire about how they can improve their product quality. Well, does anyone have any idea how to input any opinion and suggestions without actually receiving something from Mattel? I think there are very simple things that can improve their models considerably, without increasing cost. If everyone sends the same complaints and same suggestions and if Mattel are really trying then we may see some results. For example, the wheels on the 550 Barchetta Elite are very nice and identical as on the one silver 575GTZ. Yet on the GTZ they don't look anywhere near as nice. Same is the situation, but in reverse with the regular 575M wich is supposed theo have identical wheels as the other GTZ's. Yet on the 575M they are with a wrong shape, but on the GTZ they are fantastic. And they fit without modifications- I have tried. Also when painting the window borders flat black, can't they do it from inside, It looks ridiculous on the outside of the windows.
I think toddjw73 does have some sort of affiliations with Hotwheels. You can write any complains that you may have and concerns for that matter regarding Hotwheel die-cast that are being produce and give it to him. He will then pass those complains to I guess the CEO or head department of Mattel and see what they can come up with about not paying enough attention to details to their craftsmanship. I already passed some concerns, and also I asked them why and why on earth why they are not producing a 1:18 Ferrari 348 ts/tb? Then another question I got was why haven't they produced an Elite version of the F355 Berlinetta? They pretty much did every Ferrari to an Elite version except the F355? WHY!!!!? They coverted the MC-12 to an Elite version. Why can't they do it to the F355? I guess they ran out of funding since they've concentrated too much on some BATMAN cars. So if you guys have some concerns, moans, groans, negative feedbacks, complains, etc..about their 1:18 Elite models, write them all down and pm toddjw73! Let your voice be heard.
What do you think about the future 599XX, if you compare with the rest of the actual production, much more expensive but with less details (none open parts) as BBR, MR, MWS... http://www.hotwheels-elite.com/collection/gt-e-sport/244/599xx.php Seeem's to be correct, no ? I wish I was affiliated. I only had an account with them when I had my Collectibles business a few years ago. Right now I am just thinking about possibly starting it up again. However, I can email the sales rep I get my information from still and see if there is someone that these questions and concerns can be sent to.
