What the hell with these high belt-line cars? Chyco 300, Camaro, now this. From the rear there is poor integration with the exhaust. The whole rear looks too tall and narrow.

I want to like this car but not sure I do. I wish they would have wrapped the accent line under the windows around to the back of the car to break that area up a bit.

I was looking on the Cadillac website a few days ago and they did not have a listing for the V Coupe. Just looked again and they still don't. Interesting.

The only area of the car I like is the hood/grill area. Everything else just looks huge and not proportional.

I do like it in a way, its unique and different which gets the thumbs up from me but its not pretty by any stretch.

If I had the choice a 4 door V would by my choice.

Now THAT is hilarious...............but maybe this big bootie thing just might catch on :

CTS Coupe : Best Concept Car :Eyes on Design North American Intl. Auto Show
Best in Show :Detroit News & Autoextremist.com NAIAS
    Best Concept :Autoweek Magazine
Best Concept Car & Best Concept Vehicle: Automotive Writers Guild
Best looking American car in decades : Motor Trend Magazine
"From a pure design point of view, and with the possible exception of the now dead Pontiac Solstice, no General Motors design has been world class since Mitchell retired in 1977.
That changes now. Meet the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe"."The most audacious (there's that word again) aspect of the Coupe's design is its rear end. It looks like nothing else on the road. At once muscular yet avant-garde, the straight-on and rear three-quarter view of the CTS Coupe's haunches is mesmerizing. We found ourselves muttering, "That's a good looking car," every time we stopped and looked. From its vertical, LED-filled taillights to the third brake light that's angled up enough to double as a downforce-generating spoiler to more points than a star fish, the CTS Coupe is Tertris meets tangrams meets sophisticated industrial design. It all works fabulously; the Coupe is an aspirational shape, one that simultaneously signifies a suddenly reborn brand. Once again and for the first time in a while, we're talking world-class." Just sayin is all :)

Well, to be fair, the song is about enjoying a good sized rear end. Funny how the bulbous rearend is beginning to be like tailfins in the late 50's, with makers pushing to the extreme.

Personally love it. Another good car for Cadillac. Good to see someone throwing design into their cars and not following everyone else.

I figured that maybe the case. I am going to reserve judgement until I see one in person.

Hello I believe its a consideration towards side impact intrusion and side air bag curtains. Its a sign of the times we live in now. Thanks Norm

I think this design begs for light colors to show off the lines.

I still think the 4-door is better, but it is unique and I kinda like it.

Check the rear fender line/quarter panel... nearly identical to the Gallardo, yet it was designed first ;)

Good on GM for scooping Lambo. They should have gone to production! ;):)
