Yes, wonder how are the owners' review of it living with one. I have probably only seen one or two in S'pore roads so far & saw several in Italy when I was @ the MM.
Did a quick google on the 365 GT4BB, nice stuff man! Too bad the only way I could get an AP is if I was either working or studying overseas, or my dad was a politician with connections ;p How many AP's do u get if u guys open offices or work/study in Malaysia? Anyway, how much of a difference does it feel to have a V12 sitting in front of u instead of the back? Weight distribution ok or not?
Oh no! You've said it! I predict a couple of references to a lovely Gentlemen on the forum in the near future
AP? u pay the selected Bumis some money to have it & the car dealers will know who to settle it with. I don't drive them that hard to know the difference, but the mid-engine ones probably have a sharper turn in for corners but you'd need to feel/correct it before it snaps & those front ones will need to see how the manufacturer set up the weight distribution. 60/40, 50/50, RWD or AWD etc. Anyway, we usually see front engined V12s with long sexy nose, Lambo mount them transversely @ the back to save space while Ferrari had them on 180degree flat V12s.
Just spotted a california a few minutes ago. To be fair, you really have to see it in person to appreciate it. Honestly I wasn't really fond of it when I saw it on pictures, but when it stopped along side other cars at the traffic lights, it screams ferrari all over it, just not that usual feeling I get when I see a 430 or 599. Its a tad too soft. Unfortunately, the owner didn't floor it enough to hear the V8, or else it would have been a different story.
Definitely mounted lengthwise as that's what the "LP" in its name stands for: Longitudinale Posteriore
Yes, pics don't really do the car justice although it's not exactly beautiful either. For me, it's the rims that make or break the Cali. I really cannot stand the standard 5-spoke rims. With the optional rims, the whole car just looks much more aggressive. The V8 definitely did not lose its character, it's still 100% Ferrari. Nice rumble at idle and high-pitched scream when revved to the limit.
The california isn't really a car which enthusiast would expect from ferrari. With the new line of ferraris such as the GTO and 458, I won't be surprise if potential buyers show more interest with those lot. IMO, to understand what the california is all about, look at it this way. Women get jealous when men shower too much love on their cars. Ferrari had solved that problem by developing the california specially for your wifes. Now she won't feel loney!

There was once where I carried an Abercrombie shopping bag waiting for my gf at Ion, and 2 "men" approached me asking me where they could find abercrombie and fitch in singapore. Well I told them "No" and they tried to strike a conversation with me. When she came out of the toilet, she saw me chatting with those 2 and got jealous..
