Yes they have been delivering for several months But it still is the first model year. It appears a first time buyer has gotten early delivery which is intriguing To me it paints a weak picture of the Ferrari market.
Obviously Ferrari is building better quality cars these days and his had no problems and did not require further testing like some... In the past Ferrari had many sets of spare wheels that were re-used on all new cars for the test drive. Then once they signed off on the test drive the 'customer ordered' choice of wheels were installed at the factory before shipment. However this practice has been discontinued now. CH
You could also get the electronic resetter as part of the Convenience Package which would be included in the tool box.
Check the navigation history (if there is one) and see where the car was driven. It should show that it was driven around Maranello.
This must be the only way to remove mileage. As we all know, courtesy of Ferris Bueller, letting the car run in reverse, while on jacks, is a recipe for disaster.
I've always wondered how many miles on a 'new' car are acceptable to still call it new, especially cars sitting on the showroom floor for several months. You've got to think that those sales guys are tempted.....I know a sales guy for another brand, BMW saying come look as I want to test drive these cars myself . Has anyone bought a new car with more than 100 miles on it? Jim
Do they have a nav system now which works both in the US and Europe? My 612 nav system wouldn't work at all in Europe. It always thought it was in Calgary...
I'm not sure but a F430 owner & a 599 GTB owner both told me that their Navi history showed that their cars were driven around Maranello. I can't confirm or deny...
Navi history? I've never heard of a nav system that shows you journey history - past destinations sure, but not journey history. Is that right?
Heck, I don't know since I didn't see it or play with it myself. Past destinations is probably what they were referring to.
I don't think there is ANY car that is delivered with 0 miles. 30 miles is normal for almost any car.
My Scuderia was pretty close.. this was taken on delivery day.. 1km!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
as a kick back to all the employees Ferrari now has any finished car driven home by line workers. it's part of the labor agreement now that they've lost all of their hours. most likely you won't be the first laid in your car either. this is quit common as well to take your coworker for a spin in the new cars. 30 miles means it was just used a couple of times. I'd detail the passenger seat tho
I'm really surprised the dealers are allowed to do this Mind you probably explains how a 16M was up for sale here with delivery mileage desprite me having seen it on the roads several times
