    Nice plane, Rob!! What kind of GPH are you seeing at at cruise? I'd guess around 18-20?

    18-20 gph for full power settings. typical settings are 16-17 gph for 190-200 KTAS.

    Here are some examples...

    10,000 feet
    2500/32 - 196 KTAS 17 GPH
    2400/30.5 - 188 KTAS 16 GPH
    2300/29.5 - 181 KTAS 14 GPH

    18,000 feet
    2500/32 - 213 KTAS 17 GPH
    2400/30.5 - 207 KTAS 16 GPH
    2300/29.5 - 200 KTAS 14 GPH

    It CAN burn a ton of gas, but it doesn't lose all that much speed to get some crazy good GPH. Heck, the T182T was about 14 GPH for only 142 KTAS.

    Absolutely, those are great numbers, especially comparatively! I'd never checked the 400's out too closely. I will now. :)

    Nice-looking plane! :)

    When I lived in Alabama, I had a neighbour who had a Cessna that he absolutely loved. Unfortunately, he tried to service it himself and made rather a mess of the fuel pump, which cut out mid-flight. The engine died and he found his landing gear wouldn't come down either... I don't know if the engine needs to be working to provide moving power for the landing gear, but I presume so. Anyway, he glided it to a farmer's field and slid it down on it's belly in an emergency landing. I saw a few pictures of it post-landing and it really did look ok. Unfortunately, it did quite a lot of damage to the underside and the insurance company wrote the plane off rather than repair it. His wife didn't let him buy another plane after that, so it finished his flying days.

    LOL - I believe all RV's are required to do 500 foot patterns, no radio calls, and 270/360 degree constant circle landings after first doing an on-the-deck high speed pass. :D;):D

    I should see 170kts at 9.5-10.5gph when all the fairings are done. Without gear leg fairings or wheel pants, I'm getting 152kts...burning a lot of gas to seat the rings.

    I just ordered a new SR22T GTS today. Will post pics as soon as the airplane is delivered...should be 6-8 weeks. Can't wait! I believe it's the first SR22T to be delivered here in Georgia.
