Does anyone else plan on attending this next weekend? If so, what's the parking situation for those of us with a different horse on the hood badge?

In past events that are held there general parking has been 1) across the street from the main entrance( grassy open field) or 2) parking off to the side of the resort( over by the airport that is almost next door, also a grassy open field)-hope this may have answered your question.

It looks like the Concours d' Elegance ( the Corral and historic Display) are going to be held on the 4th( according to the website above in reply #4)-i'm thinking @9 or 10AM might be a good time to arrive.

I emailed PCA and inquired about the parking and received a reply that there would be parking available for cars not in the concours. Not very helpful really. I'm a PCA member and I have to say I've been very disappointed with the details available regarding how this event is organized. Thanks for the above reply on parking on the grass. That was my fear and does not exactly entice me to take the F car. According to the PCA website, I think the concours opens about 10 and the judging concludes about 4pm.

I'm guessing visitors will end up parking across the street at Walmart or Super Target. Not a good idea to bring a Ferrari.

My son and I are finally getting a chance to head there this morning. I'm sure we'll be taking a ton of pics, so I'll post up tomorrow. Looks like good weather!

Man I'm really disappointed I missed this but my wife went into labor the morning of the show and now I have two new daughters. Badges, where's the rest of your pics? Where there any 959's there? I've always wanted to spot one of those in person.

I've had quite the week unfortunately. If you saw the news for what happened yesterday, I was ground zero for that one. The day before that was the 82 year old who passed on 7/1 while living alone......found 5 days later:(. ...I'll get them up tomorrow..........hopefully ;).

Congratulations and I hope all is well!

Thanks Badges! There were some great pics there. No 959 eases my pain from missing the show since that has always been my favorite Porsche and I have yet to see one in person.

I saw one back in '87 or '88. My buddy who worked for a clearing house called me to ask if I wanted to see some weird Porsche that was sitting in the Luftansa warehouse at O'Hare. When I got there, it was a 959 ratchet strapped down onto some pallets! I've got a bunch of 35mm pics I took that I posted on here a long time ago. If you're interested, I can scan them again and post them up.

Hope all is well with your little ones and Mom too!
