This is the only one I am aware of - certainly it was the only F1 road car originally finished in McLaren's traditional orange paint color. It also has the high mirror option found on only 5 F1s so it really is quite special both inside and out.

I can't recall if either of these images were previously included at some point in the thread, but they are both really great shots of this car.

The local Barnes and Nobel had two copies yesterday, I picked up the one that didn't look like the entire PLA had flipped through...

More shots of 071 would be great (as many as you have would be better!).

Then I can ask for all shots of 001, 002, 003, 004.........you get the idea.

Great Articles, I would love to see the longer version that was supposedly made for the Sultan. Has anyone seen that car, they mentioned it in the section with Gordon Murray on the follow ups to what the F1 would have been.

The mention of the McLaren PGTB in that article is the first time I've heard anything about that car.

According to the EVO article, it is a 2+2 mid engined car made for the Sultan of Brunei. It has the same engine as the F1.

I'd never heard of this either, and I would love to see some pics of it.

Martin's post was made on 5/22.

microsup's scans of the EVO article were posted on 5/21.

Perhaps you can guess what Martin's source for that info might have been? ;) :D

Also for those still left wondering, this is the very small mention of the car in a sidebar from EVO below.

Seems this thread just took an unexpected, interesting turn.

For it to have been made there has to be some pictures out there somewhere. Or could this car have just been discussed but never actually manufactured?

Anyone got any info on McLaren F1 #11

The blue one with the HDF Kit - but thts kinda my question - looking back in this thread people often say "when it was blue" so it got me wondering has it been changed - or are they just been specific to its current spec?

Also any pics of it would be good

Also any information on #18 - I have info on all the other HDF Kit cars (not a lot on #11) but I dont have anything on #18 or any pictures of it - again info and pics would be appreciated

Could PGTB be build on one of the "missing" F1s in Brunei?

Wow, I just have to say for the umpteenth time how I love this thread! I love the mystique behind this elusive car, and the fact that we, and especially the experts like Erik, are discovering significant new information about this car like this 2+2 PGTB!

Peloton, here is that shot of his preliminary design for his next supercar project. This project was apparently placed on the shelf to make room for his city car project no?
