I think you meant to say drivel, as in: meaningless utterances. I understand 'dribble' to be the act of a viscous fluid such as saliva or foodstuffs falling in drops or chunks from one's mouth. Alternatively, I'd accept it as a method of getting a football from one end of the pitch to another. I put it to you that your slight upon your fellow FChatter was primarily drivel. All the best, Andrew.
Good question Scud. "They" can't pull the pin - the FCA is an independant legal entity that has never had any formal ( ie contractual) relationship with F. SPa. The whole notion of a Ferrari "approved" club was something that Ferrari dreamed up about 6 years ago, and has been pushing ever since. Before that, Ferrari barely acknowledegd any of the owner's club, and the relationship the clubs had was usually with the importer in each country. It's ridiculous that Ferrari are threatening to withdraw approval of the club, when the club's has never been "approved" in the first place. Strangely this threatened withdrawl of approval does seem to worry some of the newer, more image concious members of the club and has sent them in to an apoplectic frenzy.. Contrary to what some may have heard, the name of the club is also owned by the club and is not 'licensed" from Ferrari. It's a registered business name, the club registered it in 1998, and the details can be seen on the the ASIC website. Indeed, Ferrari acknowledge that the club owns the name, because the contract they want the club to sign specifically mentions the club handing over the name of the club to Ferrari (although once we hand over the name, the have kindly offered to license the name back to the club ) but Ferrari get to keep the name it if they decide to terminate the contract. No idea why anyone would go for that. For those interesed in seeing the details of the contract that Ferrari is pushing the FCA to sign and the clubs legal advice, as well as the Ferrari's owners club rules can be seen on: www.fcacontract.com One last thing, the fact that other clubs have signed with Ferrari means nothing - because the contracts signed by new Zealand and the UK are both different and neither are the same as what Australia has been offered - the NZ agreement would probably be acceptable but Ferrari have point blank refused to offer the FCA this agreement. And to answer the question, the funds in the club will remain with the club. M
If there ever was an indicator of how well Ferrari Australia intends to look after club members it was only a couple of weeks ago. A 458 is reportedly to have been in town for journos to see ........ was there any attempt to let FCA members know the car was here ? ,,, even if only to look through a window at it. It wouldnt cost them time or money. It appears they just couldnt be bothered,
Ah ok. I hear people say 'dribble' instead of 'drivel' all the time around Glasgow and it drives me nuts. I can't help but correct it. All the best, Andrew.
That alone is enough to vote NO and tell them to stick their heads up a dead bears bum!! Arrogant ****s
I saw the 458, a pap special (red/tan), while getting a wheel alignment There have been plenty of new Ferraris over the last 12 years I've been in the club and they are never given advanced viewings from my perspective. It'd be like BMW, buy a new one and you get all the invites to see the laying of a new rug in the foyer, buy a second-hand one and get nothing
Would a new club need to join CAMS? track day and club runs any insurance issues? What a combo CAMS and Ferrari SpA.
i might play games here, but in 25 years of corporate work, weither working for a firm or my own companies,I would not agree to that contract without significant changes.
its to one sided. There is no benefit to the FCA,apart from being a factory backed club, big deal if you have a car that is say older then the current model. Its great to see that those voting on her are awake up to the issues with the contract.
has he read the one sided terms of agreement. I've been involved in many contracts/heads of agreements, but this one takes the cake.
more like you to pay the legal bills hey? remind us again how you "did well, did very well" considering i assume what was a very messy affair with the fchat gods having to sweep **** under the carpet and that the majority of men come out second best? i might need the advice one day if i **** it up like you, though maybe not to the same degree. stop talking **** and so will i.
