Indeed Jim. I was expecting to receive a car unpleasant to drive in every day traffic given the performance specs. Boy, was I wrong (and I'm glad I was ;) ).

Sounds like a very impressive piece of kit!

I can understand why you like the silent-loud transition. From time to time I also enjoy closing the valves on the 599 in order to then open them again with the right pedal ;) It can be quite satisfying and I'm sure it's even more so the case with the GTO!

I bet that your knees get a little weak when you walk in your garage! :)

M- I think the GTO is the most desirable new car available right now and yours is simply beautiful. Beautiful, and it goes like a scalded cat, cannot ask for much more than that. Plus the new exhaust makes the engine sound like an F1 screamer. Quite a trick for a 6 liter engine.

The GTB airboxes seem to be bigger than the GTO ones (I mean more thick)

Hey Carlo, I may have to rethink what I wrote before. I'm starting to drive the car more and more in Race mode and the valves open sooner. The sound is just perfect in this mode. Especially downshift from 3rd to 2nd is ... addictive to say the least. It bangs and barks ... it's one angry beast. Having the little switch installed may not be a bad idea after all as it will give the best of both worlds ;)

Nah don't opt for that. The GTO should be in psychopath mode every single second of it's running life :D
