We do ECU tuning and let's just say the factory tuning is very conservative on the 430..... as well as the Murcie! We just did a LP640 and the owner is still grinning!

I'd love to drive a Gallardo that has been done, I have never found on a NA enjine that ECU tuning does what it claims, usually nothing more than a more touchy gas pedal, and holding lower gears longer, but I'm always open to being amazed.

in the beginning i was doubtful of what can be done to an NA car, but after reading rave reviews, i bit the bullet and said what the hell and gave it a try.

well the car is really faster. and my roll on racing will prove it. i'll post the vid here when i have it but it will take sometime as it's with my friend and he's abroad presently.

I too was skeptical of ecu tuning, but after talking with the guy in person that does the tuning, very smart individual, I said do it. Bottom line, the car is faster, especially in the mid range rpm's. I am very happy with the results.

Fabspeed is a great company and they will get you results.. Get your car a baseline dyno run then send off your ecu's for tuning.. Slap them in, redyno the car and prepare to be amazed on the gains. Call and ask for Jeremy.. He knows his stuff and a great guy to work with!

Eurotek designs in new york ...ive used dozens of there tunes with ferraris , porsches , and a couple of murcis .... if you dont like it , send it back .....who else does this on an ECU tune , our GT2 porsche made 77hp on the dyno and the boost went up to 1.2 bar , my 360 feels a bit more quicker thru the midrange and the rev limit moved 450 rpms higher , and the flames out the back on the downshift are impressive ....trust me you wont be sorry , the F430 tune is awesome .....one of my customers just did the gumball rally in his 430 and said its so much better to drive and noticably faster

I read this stuff and PT Barnum comes to mind, how many of you have any real experience in building a car, whether it be a track car, or taking apart an engine, or a car for that matter and putting it back together. 25hp in a 430 might get you a ten of a second faster in the 1/4, maybe. Of course tuning works on the GT2 it is not a NA engine. I laugh at some of the stuff I read in the car mags when you see these tuners who get a couple tenths of a second faster times if you spend 100K. I ask why? Are you tracking the car? Are you drag racer? Well if you are you bought the wrong car, and 25hp wont do a damn thing for 0-60. Sorry to spoil the party but I've been at this mod thing for over 35 years (yes I design things myself), which I imagine is longer than some on here have gone to bathroom by themselves. Here is some advise, take out you car turn the traction control off and drive it and when you master taking it close to the limit and keeping it under control, then add stuff, trust me you will save alot of money and enjoy your car alot more. One more thing the real enemy of the modern car is weight not power.

I read posts like the one above and Lawerance Welk comes to mind.

As a long time Corvette owner, one of the first things I do is intake, exhaust, and tune. Why......because I want to. Because I like being just a little bit different from every other Corvette (or Ferrari), because it's my money and i'll spend it how I see fit, because I like the feel of 50 extra rwhp, because it will make me just a bit faster than the guy next to me, because it sounds good to say I have 550 hp as opposed to 505 (before I eventually step up the mods as I always do), because it does make me just that much faster when I drove at Road Atlanta, because I like tinkering with my car, because it's why there's a market out there, and because despite being almost 40 and tuning cars has been going on since Henry Ford....I'm helping keep the tradition alive before the current liberal hippy, socialistic govt kills it.

BTW....would you tell Carol Shelby, John Lingenfelter, Mercedes AMG, BMW M division, or those who created the Stradale and Scuderia their cars are from a clown show?

Sorry for the rant, just retorting for those of us who enjoy our cars.

Some know me here, and I spent 150k remaking a 100k car, I have moded more cars than I can remember, what I am saying is know what you're getting for your money. They used to come in wagons and sell the magic potion that cured all illness, now sometime the snake oil comes in a different container. I'm sorry to burst your bubbles but in the real world 25hp on a 400hp car is not going to make a damn bit of difference, on a dyno sure, in your mind yes. That is why what I do might be insane (no warranties after to completely take your car apart), but it makes the car into something like no other. Hey to each his own, it is your money spend as you like, just know what you're really getting for it.

If the Air Force will ever release me (currently being held hostage), let me start my new life and new job, I'll be giving you a call in about a year to do a full exhaust, BMC filter/housing swap, and tune on a 430.

Guess it's a hobby, something to do. I think everyone knows 50hp isnt going to make their car into an Apollo Gumpert or Pagani Zonda. Just a little something to personalize our rides. Wasn't trying to be a d*ck, just saying we're just having fun.

    cheers,
    Jim

if an ECU tune is the difference between a Z06 leaving my old Murcie 6.2 in 3rd and 4th gears and my Murcie being side by side or ahead of the Z06 in friendly roll on racing, then i think the money spent is pretty worth it.

20-30 hp might not sound a lot in 0-60 or quarter mile races, but if you're doing friendly roll on gauges from 40-180mph or anywhere in between, i think you will really see the difference.

here's my Murcie with no tune:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gdDCUWGApI

i don't have the new video yet but with the tune i'm ahead of the Z06 already in all gears, there's no 3rd and 4th gear Vette catching up.

just my $0.02. mods like these keep the interest in the car going.

I'm actually, contemplating a Viper instead of a Ferrari because it would be alot of fun to upgrade. If I get the 360/430, I wouldnt do much to it. Have a good 4th.
