The way a rear parking sensor is built, it warns the driver when it gets close to a "wall" But for cars like 458, i think it is a waste of money. Most car parks in Singapore have kerbs and by the time the parking sensor screams, say goodbye to your rear diffuser. The sales person trying to sell me this option does not even understand this. I learn the hard way when i had my 360 spider some years back.
i dont think that will work, i have a reverse camera in my 7 series. same issue, i don't think you can judge if the rear diffuser is going to hit the kerb. Anyone on the forum has a reverse camera on a car which has a rear diffuser, input please.

Yeah I don't think the reverse camera is able to show close the diffuser is to the kerb as it is under the car and the camera is mounted atop the boot area.
Ouch that is quite a large price to pay for such a small penalty. I read somewhere that the Swiss have one of the most stringent traffic rules in the world.
Yeah. I know your pain. Maybe can try local installer to fit the sensors near the diffuser or somewhere on the rear undertray. I have one just above the no. plate & it even has angle of yaw + alignment chk & it does see that kerb but just can't get used to the screen. Better to trust instinct.

Well I do love cruising at night once in a while, alone of cause. And aren't cars meant to be driven? Something along that line haha! But since I don't own a ferrari, I am in no position to comment on that.
And to think that singapore's traffic rules were strict! I tried arguing my way out when I was caught for dashing the red light. Of cause it wasn't intentional and I had a "proper" excuse, but the officer just didn't buy it.

Yeah I remember reading a Swiss guy who was driving his Ferrari over the limit and got fined something like 20k or 200k as he was a billionaire.
Got to park the old fashion way, stop and come out to see how much further to go before reversing all the way. If you think hitting the diffuser is bad, the 355 has the gearbox casing dangling between like dog's testicles. Last thing I want is a kick from the kerbs up this sensitive region. Front in doesn't help as the kerbs will kill the front bumper. Don't laugh but I tend to reverse, stop and push the car in for the last few inches if there are killer kerbs behind. Only way to safeguard the diffuser and gearbox.

Yep, the Swiss and the Aussies are anal about speed and they really mean it when they say stick to the limit. In comparison, the SG TPs are more pragmatic in the allowances over the limit. MY TP lagi better!
You must be referring to that video I think posted on Asiaone.com. Doesn't make sense too but even if it allows an extra litre or 2, is it worth looking like you are humping your car in order to save a couple of bucks? More so in an exotic which would make for an interesting video! As for getting a local SG 355, there might (slight chance) be one or 2 on sale within a year or so. Very slight chance... Don't look at me though D).
I don't trust the parking sensors as well, thats why I'll always open the doors and look back to judge the amount of space left. I scraped my bumpers once even though the sensors wasn't screaming!
I've heard the pink Zonda's engine being blipped in its home underground carpark. Sounded like a Gatling gun. Incredible! Sound is something that adds immensely to the appeal of an exotic and I don't know how the Tesla can match that. I had the pleasure of Tim's CS alongside at unmentionable speeds. Aural heaven!
