Well, it's a valid question, isn't it ? Every week he is either reprimanded or in the case of the Euro GP is gifted some sort of hand slap penalty.

Odds are he'll keep doing this until he gets DQed or why not make him sit out a race or two.

At the rate Hamilton is going, he might help clarify the entire regs. We got clarification for chicane passes, weaving, running light on fuel, and now Safety Cars, but that's no surprise being that he has a history of acting like a total idiot whenever the SC comes out.

He should have been slammed hard for what he did in Spain last week but instead he was rewarded by being allowed to have his podium result stand when he should have been DQed, whats next ?

So, what will it be at Silverstone ???????

Next week it will be you with your panties in a tight bunch as you hyperventilate over Lewis.

If you add up the number of investigations/penalties that Hamilton, Button and McLaren have gotten this year, it is equal to the number that Alonso/Massa/Ferrari have received.

And there are, IIRC a few drivers with more investigations/penalties than Hamilton, including Alguersuari, Petrov, Webber and a couple others.

Doesn't make for good Hamilton bashing, of course... and once again, people focus on Hamilton because he's the best out there. Nobody is starting threads whining like little girls about Alguersuari or Petrov though.

Speaking of whining... I read an article where Alonso was asked about Valencia and about a fan throwing a beer bottle on the track and he stated that the reaction of the fans was understandable.

+1 As usual spot on Mike. When your the Best Driver on the Planet, as Hamilton is, there is a lot of whining going on.

I think he will get out of the car and jog the race after the first few laps...and win!

Hogwash, no way that's true. Your boy breaks the rules every week lately. I don't even remember the Ferrari's being penalized for much of anything this year, feel free to supply that info for us being that you added them up.

I wish the Ferrari's would get penalized like Lewie did on Sunday, where you're allowed to gain 5 grid positions by breaking the SC regs.

I love the scene in Tropic Thunder when Les Grossman is speaking to Flaming Dragon. Have you seen it on You Tube?

This is an interesting statistic. Please, can you be more specific with the actual events and times that your statement would be supported?

    Thanks.

I had that exact picture as my avatar on another board and a couple of people who hadn't seen the movie thought that was me (?)

I switched to Ben Stiller where he had the panda head on his like Lord of the Flies or something. That movie is great for so many reasons. I read that they were talking about doing an entire Les Grossman movie. That would have potential IMO.

    Daaaamn!
My wife had two kids and has a better looking stomach than this chick.

I don't know if this deserves its own thread or no, but Hamilton will have the record for the most should-have-been-real-penalties-but-were-not pretty soon. Of course the only previous record he is competing with is his own.
If Schumacher did half the crap that Hambone has pulled in the last 3 years and this season, he would have been burned at the stakes or stoned to death on tv.
The ugly truth in my opinion is that after Schu left the sport there was a void left for a superstar, so "to keep the sport alive" (=Bernie making even more money) a new star was artificially created. Now don't get me wrong. Hamilton is incredibly fast and talented, I am not trying to take away from his phenomenal abilities, but his results would not be what they statistically are right now, without all the extra help he IS getting.

No, Lewis made a mistake last GP and was punished it just so happens that he was already far enough ahead for the punishment to not take any effect. Were the FIA suppose to give him another punishment?..... I don't think so.

No Alex you got it wrong..:)

You see here we have a case of the accused head is placed on a chopping block with an axe aimed at it. If the axe bounces off, the accused is guilty and is burnt at the stake..

    And thats it ..;)

LH does break rules, but that is how you win in motorsport. In this case the race control took way too long to make a punishment making it pointless; this is the real issue. Decisions need to be made in say 2 laps!

ya'know I'm no fan of hambone and frankly his GF is about the only thing keeping me from changing the channel every time we see the mclaren garage.

That being said I don't think he did anything really truly wrong, he thought he could make it to the SC line (almost did too, looked to be about 6 feet short from the helicopter shot) before the SC. He didn't. Whiting was understandably busy dealing with a possibly life threatening incident (lets face it safety advances or no that was a HUGE HUGE shunt). So that was the priority to deal with.

I'm as big a fan as any around here of the boys in red, (frankly my enthusiasm has waned a little now that alonso is on the team though, great driver but WHAT AN ASS). There's a difference though between being a fan pulling for your team to earn a victory and "whhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa, my team wasn't gifted a victory because they got the standard penalty and it didn't do anything wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh".

Be a sportsman, suck it up and do better in silverstone!
