Ok so I am driving home from work in the CS on a nice summers day, had 2 bottles of Millers whilst watching the Soccer at the office. Then suddenly my geabox light comes on with the buzzer, the next time I try to change gear, I lose all gears, car slows to a halt in a very awkward and dangerous spot on the highway as I am almost blocking the traffic. I shut the engine down thinking that a restart may solve Gearbox issue, but the car refuses to turn over. There was never any smoke or other noise etc. So I put up the safety triangle, call the breakdown service and also call the police as the situation is so dangerous it may cause another accident. (despite the 2 beers). Breakdown service notes he will be 30 minutes and as the traffic is not really slowing down I call my wife out in the LR3 to put the hazards on behind me. Net net CS was safely lifted at the front wheels and towed to the nearest Ferrari dealer. What do you guys think happened the clutch ?, it was dealer serviced just 8 months ago and have noticed that the "gearbox" doesn't slamship like my 430 Spider recently. Car has covered 11,000 miles from new ?

EV F1 Line? There are 7 of them if I recall. Did you notice any fluid?

This exactly happened to me with 360F1 Spider... My car got stuck in 6th gear and I had to use "dolly system" under the rear wheels to tow the car.
There is a 99% likelihood is that your F1 pump or relay and/or fuse are toast!
However, it will be interesting to find out what exactly caused your car's problem. Keep us all posted.
    Thnx.

No fluid, funny thing is the cops told me they were currently so busy that unless the car had to be lifted by a crane onto a truck on that road, I had to deal with the traffic situation myself

It could also be a clutch position sensor going bad. We experienced that exact scenario on a CS a few months ago.

That's a very good question, Ferrari garage haven't called me back yet, I asked them to also do a service and change the cam belts and provide me with an estimate for it all first, they said they were very busy, I have plenty of cars so its fortunately not mega urgent, I'll call them on Friday for an update if they don't call me tomorrow

Ok I hear this is the F1 pump and the 2 solenoids, the gearbox is not getting any information from the F1 changers, seems all in all, about 5k (swiss labor is expensive)

Sorry to hear that... but, actually, 5K including parts is not bad at all (!), because through the F---i dealer, the pump will cost about 2.5K, the solenoids each about 300. The price of labor to remove parts, place the new ones, purge and re-tune the F1 system for about 2K assuming means that the dealership is poanning about 12-14 hours of work (at about a 150/hour). Sounds quite reasonable...
    Cheers.

Worst thing is tonite finally the car is ready and its been 32 Celsuis all day, 2 minutes before I get to the dealer and it breaks out in a heavy rain storm, its like coming back from a biz trip and your wife announces it is totm.
