No point to bring down under, speed limits and constant speed traps will sap all sense of enjoyment.... I am currently back in Oz on my annual break and can attest to the fact that it is no fun driving car here in Oz....

Sounds good. Do u have more info?

Speaking of that I just read up AA's magazine & realised that they do have trips to Koh Samui etc as well while all of them have Thai Tourism police to escort once we're in Thailand from Hat yai to Surat Thani then load our cars to ferry to Koh Samui.

We can consider such a trip for ourselves in future.

Dude, the bloody insurance for Evo is going to cost me over $6000K on 30%, comprehensive & $3K excess. That's very expensive annual write-off for a Jap car :(

How is it doing for you?

Yeah insurance premium is same for me mate... but with zero NCB.

Taking the Evo up to Sepang on 24th for shakedown. Have installed AP Racing brakes all round (they have better feel than the Porker brakes.. unbelievable), and Tein race suspension. Going to mess around with the cars set up to figure out what I want. Have put higher rate springs on the rear to increase rear throw and am trying out a new alignment setting compared to my first track day with the Evo to see how it handles.... this is going to be more fun.... :)

I feel that the Scud has more road feel, better F1 shift, rawness and drivers involvement! :)

Wow, not bad. Must know your insurance broker!

How did u do the last round? I saw some S2000 guys doing 2.38 with minor mods & street tyres, very good that.

    Yep :)

Yes, just do it! Grand touring Europe should be epic. Just drive wherever you fancy as long as the car & pocket's willing :)

Mate, quite a few stock S2000's go sub 2.40... very very smooth drivers. I have actually overlapped my Sepang data in my GT3 with my best lap time to data over that of a sub 2.40 S2000 driver (totally stock car but very smooth driver). Amazing as to the speed he carries through various turns etc whilst I pull a heck of a lot more power... just proves it doesnt matter what car you drive... if you are a crap driver you can drive the best car in the world and still be bleeding slow....

I have only now finally managed to break 2.40 (yeah I am a slow learner) in both the GT3 (semi slicks) and the Evo on full street tires (much easier to do in the Evo, let me assure you).... :D

Am aiming for low 2.30's in the Evo at some time on the current set up but with semi or full slicks.... pretty sure this is reachable within the year.... but resigned to mid 2.30's for the GT3 at best... just dont have the skill to get below that till I get some pro analysis done... that will be my gift to myself next year- proper coaching....

My cousin has send his Ferrari BB512 to Adelaide for the classic rally and all the paper work and temperory registration in the country was done by the organisers.

We need to check on the exact procedure.

I was at the super GT race this year!

Quite interesting but would have been more fun if I knew the teams/drivers better.
