Blueprints...

A few of you lucky buggers have now started receiving your 458s and we're starting to see some wonderful shots of all the beautiful metal. Presumably you all have the manuals that come with the car. Do the manuals contain anything in the way of blueprint type drawings - the usual plan/elevation type thing?

 

Thanks for that. Yes I've seen those. They look as if they were just traced off the original press shots and don't look entirely accurate, probably due to things like camera distortion. I'm a 3D (CGI) animator and I fancied making a 458 in between real jobs so I was hoping there might be some blueprint type drawings somewhere in the manual that were spot on accurate (sans distortion). I can use the original press shots as templates (or, indeed, those plans) but then you get into a lot of 'eyeballing' to get the overall proportions right, which is a bit of a pain. Thanks all the same.

 

Oh, sure, if I can find time to squeeze it in between real work this will be the first place I post.

I take it then that there is nothing like blueprint type drawings (plan, elevation etc) in any of the paperwork or manuals that came with your 458?
