Hamilton in the same car got 4th ;). Both cars are completely identical correct?

It was more tongue-in-cheek anyhow, I like button many more times than I like hamilton :D

The same was said of JB smooth but not the killer talened driver. Look what happend to him in the 'right car'. SO again its actually more the car than the driver. If Webber wins the title the world will be full of the" well...I always knew"...."see I told you", etc press and fans.

What's best for Vettel ... not Webber. Webber is not Rubens and signed his life and dignity away with a submissive contract.

Anyway I would like to see how happy you would be in Webbers position. He was leading the WDC and then forced to slow to allow Vettel past and now this ... if you would not be upset you are lying or have no compeditive spirit. I would be spewing!

+1 Vettel, spoiled and entitled without a title or published #1 status. He felt entitled to fail to pass Webber and crash into him, and he felt entitled to support from a team that at first, blamed Webber on his behalf.

Vettel, does not and has not won in a car that is less than perfect. He has not shown anything beyond winning from the front row in a perfect car. He shows his spoilt emotions in public and lacks a certain character and class that come from struggle. He is starting to believe his own press way to early with nothing to back it up.

Vettel is NOT more talented that alot of other drivers. I would take Kobayashi ANYDAY over Vettel in terms of pure talent and drive alone.

Vettel spoiled loser and entitled winner. Webber has no reason to think the team stand for him in any meaningful public way. They havent yet and didnt when it counted after the spoiled Vettel took them both out earlier this year.

No, what's best for the TEAM. If Webber had no real advantage from the wing and Vettel did - then to give it to Webber would be biased in favor of Webber to spite Vettel. I believe you are heavily biased against Vettel and in favor of Webber so you would see this, naturally, as just being "fair", but it wouldn't be. There really is no reason why Webber would get the wing if it wasn't doing anything for him but was for Vettel.

Ay ay ay, the bias! :)

He wasn't "forced to slow down to allow Vettel past". He burned up more fuel by running hard whereas Vettel saved fuel and got to go longer due to his thrift with his fuel. To suggest that Vettel be disallowed from passing Webber even if he is faster and has a better position to overtake would be massively biased against Vettel.

Aren't you one who thinks that mechanical retirements are at least partially down to the driver?

If the reports are correct these decisions aren't being made on the team level.
IMO Vettle is the superior talent and deserves his #1 status but this doesn't mean Webber deserves this kind of disrespect.

The qualifying pace differential (as well as race pace) seems to indicate they are very close in skill level. One could not make the same argument last year (where Vettel was clearly superior in all respects).

I'd reckon they are closer in skill level than Hamilton/Button, Alonso/Massa, or Rosberg/Schumi.

As with Hamilton and Button the difference that matters may be in temperament not skill.
BTW I see you're putting Nico ahead of Mike. Interesting.

Really? Button has been hugely benefitted due to his two wins. I think most would say that luck paid a huge part in those wins. Hamilton has been unlucky in a few races (certainly more than Button) - yet still leads him.

This is similar to Vettel & Webber. Vettel should have 40 more points than he currently has (which indicates a speed differential between him and Mark). Although I tend to think it's very close.

I think there is an incredibly large pace differential between Hamilton/Button, one that is reflected well in qualifying performance, but less so in points standings.

Fortune favors the prepared mind. Jensen isn't flash fast he's just always there to take advantage.

The BS stops with the $$$. The bookies have appropriately priced Button's chances. They're at 10%-15%.

If the bookies are the final arbiters why do we bother having opinions?
