A solid stream at acceleration???? Thats not normal mate as far as I know. Indicates the exhaust is staying too hot for too long which may indicate something else is wrong.... or way too much fuel being used under load...

The temperature of the F430 went up under constant hard acceleration but cooled down after I was cruising. Hahah when r we doing the next night drive?

For sure he noticed the spoiler missing...bloody double sided tapes were still attached
    to the rear screen!

According to Phoenix enterprise at that time, the original Hamann spec was double sided
tape. I was only cruising at 150kph when I heard a momentarily rustling sound from the
rear. Guess that must must been the $1500 roof spoiler flying off. Guys, please let me
know if during yr drives in malaysia, you see a proton saga with a sleek looking roof spoiler,
in red, with Hamann embossing on the right side!

Price does look good. IA sold a super low mileage July 2007 coupe last month for 565k.
Only 1700km or so. Scud red with tan interior. It looked like brand new on their showroom
    floor

Note post #207 about flames shooting out from exos under hard downshifts and acceleration..on the new GTO

"Downshifts are phenomenal. Driving at 170 km/h in 6th gear and downshifting straight to 4th creates explosions"
"that during downshifts from 3rd to 2nd she saw "fire coming out of the back".

i think the problem is the stock exhaust is too soft, such that he can hear his brakes squeaking:D

i dont think there shld be a constant stream of flame ,shld be in bursts as u downshift hard during aggressive acceleration. i think get them to check your settings ..or your fuel pump maybe- which has been known to malfunction n cause fires

Agree with Kingkopi. Should only be bursts of flames..... and not burst into flames...

Hahaha u guys are damn bad.

Speaking of that I was discussing with my mechanic about tuning & he told me that 'they' let it run a little rich by sending fuel into CATs to keep it cool. Fuel to keep cool??? I know fuel is cold when u touch it, but mist of fuel flying through cats @ few hundred degrees? Hmmm

I'm back, guys! Was travelling in Europe & surviving the WC the past 6 weeks. I also finally caught up with the 40+ pages of posts. Just don't want you guys to think that I'm doing a Lung-MP type of thing :)

    I dont think so.

It changes how soon the CST cuts in, suspension hard/soft on the 430 and also on race mode the car does not shift gears for you even if you hit the rev limiter.

I don't know whether if it's in bursts or not. Will send the car in soon. CEL was previously on a few times after refueling..

CEL after refuelling is probably due to the fuel cap . very sensitive.
