    Are you replacing the bearings or just inspecting and repacking? if replacing, the new units are sealed. Mine were all crusty and clearly leaking, so I replaced them.


    also, are you planning on restaking the lead plugs or leaving them as is? a few of mine were weeping, so i replaced them all.

    i commented on the other post. the other thing you can do is see if that wavy washer is engaged (ie, not floating around, and holding the washer behind it in place). If it is doing its job, then you are probably ok. I'd probably give that nut a little turn and see if you can get it to seat on the throttle shaft a little better.
