The first 458 Italia in Austin had just been delivered. I stopped by the dealership during my lunch break, so all I had was my Blackberry. Sorry about the very poor quality photos. I'll post some better photos of it when I get a chance to photograph it again.

I really like the seats & all the carbon fiber.

Looks like the rest of the interior is nero and only the seats are red. Is that correct or just an effect from the photo?

That's correct. I think it's overkill when people choose red belts, red carpets, red steering wheels, etc..

If the car was black or white, the seats would work for me. I don't like the seats, but the outside of the car looks great!

Glad to see one landed in Austin.

I think that it's funny that I've never personally heard anyone complain about the red seats in F40s, Enzos or Challenge Stradales... :)

Still trying to 'figger out" where the (supposed hard)top goes with the engine back there in a glass case? I don't see it happening...

I bet it won't look like that. I would be pretty sure the roll bars are hidden (pop up style) like the California and the rear scoops for the air intakes will be more predominate. I suspect the pop up style roll bars are more safer and easier to pass current and future regulations for convertibles. And, it probably causes less air turbulance and drag.

Still, whatever it looks like, I'm waiting patiently for one!

The top is believed to fold in half and fit vertically between the rear of the seats and the firewall. How it exactly fits... I have no idea.

Somewhat like the Porsche Boxster Spyder?

That would be considered a Barchetta then, right?

That's a morph I'd like to see! Would make the Cali look v "old school" in comparison!

You could have put that in a relevant thread that was discussing the Spider version.

So you don't like the red Enzo seats? Red Alcantara starts to look pink after it fades a little.
