Does anybody have a preference when it comes to truck stop companies?
I like Love's. I was at one this morning in Florida (Exit 44 off of I-4 near Tampa). http://www.loves.com/ RMX
why do you ask? are you looking at fleet programs, investing in one, going on a long road trip? to be honest I've never really paid attention to brands, just stop when the fuel light comes on...
might be a better idea to get a credit card from Shell/Mobil/etc that gives $$ back on gas purchases?
There are these new places popping up. If you are driving I20 in Texas, I believe they are at the border of Louisiana also. I can't remember what they are called, but they look really nice from the outside, they have a Sonic Drive In by the gas stations, it seems local but there are 2 or 3 of them on I20. I liked those alot, very clean, and modern. But, like GuyIncog said, we usually just stop when we need gas, for restrooms truck stops are generally cleaner, it always depends. Map your route before you go, know what is close to the highway so you don't stray off track.
When hauling racecars and later doing frieght , I liked 76 , because of thier support of all racing series. Then liked Flying J , but now they are being absorbed by Pilot whom is a low quality overall experience (especially in the food dept). Love's can be good or bad depending upon age.....
gotcha. Buckee's! awesome my sister lives in Houston so I've been there a few times driving through TX.
My daughter in Houston got us hooked on the Beaver Bites. Finished half a bag in Houston traffic going down to help her move.
Lol, glad to see Buckee's has some fans. I've been in a few of them, normally just for a drink/beer since its the last store closest to my friends off 290. I'm curious about Beaver Bites as well?
