    Hi all,

    I want to first thank everyone who to come out for the July lunch get-together. It was great to meet John, Alfredo, Eric, and catchup with Bill. Sorry I didn't get to officially meet you Stephanie. We had an excellent turn-out in spite of mid-summer sun & heat; not to mention last minute change in venue. So, a big thank you!

    Secondly, I want to take this opportunity to announce the creation of Autosport Club South Florida. Autosport Club SFL is an informal automotive club based in South Florida, and the club's primary mission is to connect automotive and motorsport enthusiasts through monthly social events. Our monthly lunch get-together is open to owners of all makes, models and vintage, and friends and family members are always welcomed to spectate. Though out the year, Autosport Club SFL plans to organize road trips, charity drives and social outings. For those interested in motorsports, we will be promoting up-coming auto-x, HPDE and professional racing events.

    For some strange reason, So. Fla. has always trailed behind when it comes to true, simple, family oriented automobile group events. This is precisely what's been missing; getting together with fellow car enthusiasts and their families, for lunch or rally drives. Just plain fun, and totaly absent from the flamboyant show offs, and commercially oriented events so common in this area. Bravo !!

    Uomo360F1 - thanks for the compliments and I couldn't agree more with your observation. I truly appreciate everyone's support as we get this club off the ground.

    Paulie - I expect to have future events in WPB and Miami. At this time, Ft Lauderdale serves as the hub since it's centrally located between Miami-Dade, WPB and even folks coming from Naples. I would suggest caravaning with others PB'er to make the drive down even more enjoyable.

    HotShoe - what do people do on the internet if they don't use facebook. ;) j/k. I'm working on a website... For various reasons, it will take a little longer. So,... stay tuned (or sign-up for FB. :D).

    We meet on 3rd Saturday of each month, at Champps in Ft Lauderdale. 11:30 - 2.
