I like almost anything from Porsche, with the exception of the first generation Cayenne,924,928,944,and 968.
Porsche is my 2nd favorite automaker, behind Ferrari. :)

Well, maybe they do look a little good, but Porsche put part of the RX7 FC design in it. The FC,in my opinion, looks a little better.

FYI, the RX7 began production in 1978 while the Porsche 924 had already been out for two years. So who is it that was taking design cues again?

The RX7 FC was closely compared with the 924S back in the day. As far as looks go, the RX7 FC more closely resembled the straight lines of the 924S. The 944 is the one with the flared fenders and has a much smoother and more rounded look. IMO, the 924 has stood the test of time better than a same year RX7, given that they are equally as nice of examples. But that's just my opinion....

However, there's far more to the 924/944/968's than their visual appearances. It's more about the spirited driving experience. The weight distribution is perfectly balanced, 50/50; and the ride is comfortable and smooth, but still sporty. While they may not have the flagship credibility of a 911, they all hold true to the name behind them.

While I'm not a 928 guy myself, am I right in thinking that you don't like them because Porsche intended for it to be the 911's replacement? ;) Nah, I'll just go on assuming it's based on the aged looks too. No worries though, you're entitled to your opinion after all. :) If you get anything out of reading this, just know that when it comes to Porsche's it's not all about the looks, it's about the driving experience.

Yes, that's in my backyard at the Villa I have out there.

The second pic was taken at the NASA race back in March. Don't recall the specific scenario in that pic but in my black 996 I am usually a bit faster than Rob and in the white 911 I'm slower.

Ok, thanks all, for trying. I just don't like their looks. Perhaps I need to drive one some day to understand.

Good thing we also have Ferrari!

That's one RED car! Where is the backup camera located? We were trying to figure that out at the FoA opening. Does it flip down?

Yesterday afternoon I spotted a black F430 coupe heading west on Bee Caves near Barton Creek Dr. It had a real nice sound!

Today at 2:20pm I spotted an orange Gallardo Spyder in the Whole Foods garage.

Then about 30 minutes later I spotted the silver Vector M12 heading south on Larmar, near Whole Foods. It's the first time I've ever actually seen it driving. I wasn't able to get a photo of the Vector.

Oh, I meant where is the screen inside? We couldn't see a place for it on the one we viewed at the opening.

Beautiful rear end! Still not sure about the front, but it's growing on me. It will be nice to see some on the road soon.

I was down in Austin this past weekend. On my way back up to Dallas yesterday, I spotted a red 458, headed south on 35. Don't ask the cross roads, I just know I was in a mess of traffic at 2:00 in the afternoon. Best looking car Ferrari has put out since the 308/328, IMO. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

Ok, I don't have that right one. Mine is in the nav center in the middle. Does the iPod, radio, nav all show up there too? If so, I wonder how you touchscreen it between the steering wheel?

I forgot that you have a regular speedometer on the right. I was thinking you had a LCD over there also. The knob on the dash to the right of the steering wheel is an "I-drive type" system. It controls the radio/nav and I assume several other things.

Nobody really knows! LOL! They are crazy and don't seem to do the same thing twice! It seems to be straight out at you, or straight and up, or straight and down at your feet, but sometimes it's on the windshield, and someone in the Cali thread (can't remember which one) always has to move it around to make it do what he wants. Italians! What are ya gonna do?

I like auto and then just hit the fan button down when it's cool enough. Haven't used heat much yet...other than the seats in the winter for a few days. It seems to stay warm no matter what!

That's a Euro-spec car. Notice that it didn't have any amber lenses on the sides of the front bumper, which is required by DOT.

It also didn't have a VIN on the steering column.
