how great the car is..nice pics..
it's got everything, multiple cool cars, super bike, loyal hound, doors that seal well, what more is there? neon signs and leather couches? it's perfect.
I posted my garage/barn pics a few months ago.. as you can see from the pics, I had it epoxied black.. this turned out to be a total nightmare as it cleaned up terribly and when not clean showed every spec of dirt.. and being a garage floor, it got dirty really fast.. took all the cars and bikes out and had a new floor installed in grey.. it was a TOTAL pain to do as the old floor had to be completely sanded off so teh epoxy would adhere to the concrete. The new floor is GREAT!! Love it! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You know you've made it somewhere in the world when you've got a 2 car garage & it's got Veyrons in it.
I thought it was a Daytona Spider, which also belongs to some other member. Is that what you are talking about? I'm confused
Comprador, your old floor was epoxy was well? How did ou sand it off? Was that done with some chemical stripper? What machine did you use to sand it off? Many thanks. Andres
What can we say about your garage? One of the best picked exotic cars to have in a garage in my opinion. Ford GT, GT3, 360CS...The floor should be the last of your concerns with those cars hehe. Funny thing your nickname means Buyer in Portuguese...do you speak it or Spanish?
We had problems with the epoxy floor, which remained tacky for a while, wasn't completely smooth, and had little sheen. The paint manufacturer's representative checked it and recommended a top coat, which he said should work well. I hope so. Had I read the threads in the Garage Journal (highly recommended) earlier, I would probably have used porcelein tiles. Apparently, one can use a floor jack on them (BMW requires tiles in dealer workshops). If you drop a heavy tool on a tile and it breaks, at least you can replace just the tile. In the evening, the epoxy floor (with the Porsche) doesn't look too bad. The tiled garage bays are almost done. We just need to install the sliding polycarbonate panels that will separate the workshop area from the garage proper and a few more odds and ends. The four cars are now parked there. Here is a view from the rear of the garage. Andres Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Craig, BELLISSIMO!! I love it! It would be my "dream garage." Please PM me if you ever have anyone over to see it, I would make the 3hr drive to Connecticut, just to view it. Thanks for sharing. Mark
I just wanted to throw something out there. I have heard and seen some pretty bad cases of epoxy flooring. If youre not looking for a flawlessly consistent color, the concrete itself can be ground, honed and polished to a very nice finish. It can be stained nearly any color you want and sealed properly to protect against staining. It is very durable as well. go to concretenetwork.com to check out some photos. I am not associated with them in any way, just thought you guys would like some of it.
