Laughed out loud over here. I'm quite shocked the stewards are doing anything. Maybe just maybe this will end in tears for Alonso like the last two or three races have. >8^) ER
I don´t know why, but in this forum, everybody is always moaning about something... Our guys kicked as* big time, we should be (relatively) happy. In case anyone is interested, my two cents about team orders: Massa had his chance and will have another one next year, but right now he´s lost it, so get out of the f*$"ing way! But next time, please, please, with more subtleness.
No driver on any team should be getting out of the way to give up a position to anyone, including their teammate. This is supposed to be RACING! >8^) ER
Hello, they broke the rules. Even die hard Ferrari fans are disgusted by this. Ferrari should be stripped of this victory. What if another team had done this? Look how Vettel's image has gone toilet since RB visibly showed favoritism. For me, Alonso is no "our guys", irrespective of the car he drives. He is a cheating ass.
I wonder if Alonso would have moved aside for Massa if told to. I somehow think he would have had radio trouble.
I dont think this is anyones(on this thread) first season watching F1 and its for this reason that so many here recognise an obvious dumb move by Ferrari. Maybe you havnt been watching closely.
Teamorders are IMHO not a problem. They should get rid of these stupid rules (same as testing ban and two tire compounds). But as long it's a rule, Ferrari shouldn't blatantly break it.
if other team does it but not obvious means they didnt break the rule? how is that so.. this is a matter how much anyone can take, i forget how many times other team playing obvious team order but come on, arguing on will just be tiring
Or I've been watching for about 15 years and still find this kind of crap to be appalling. I'll never get used to it or think that it is fair and just. Massa was robbed and the fans were robbed and this is the sort of thing that damages the 'sport' considerably. I'm no giant supporter of Massa's either. This was just wrong. >8^) ER
Shameful and pathetic. Massa was fighting for his life one year ago, and one year later, he gets robbed...not by luck or anything, but by his own team! Total BS race. I really hope Ferrari win neither championships this year. The way they handled the whole thing was total nonsense. Team orders at this stage of the season? To be frank, i voted (on the other thread) and i genuinely hope Ferrari gets penalized.
Actually, it appears you have not. Since the Rubens/Schumacher incident, TOs have been ruled out. The point of allowing even teammates to race seems to have been followed this year the likes of McLaren and Red Bull. For the last two races Ferrari has acted like a spoiled child, and visibly breaks rules. As a spectator, I do not want to see one driver lift to allwo another to pass, I want to see them race to the finish.
I have been watching since the days of Bandini. It appears you are new to the F1 scene? What happened today should be disgusting even to the most loyal Ferrari fan.
$100,000 fine Very brief.. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/25072010/2/ferrari-f1-team-fined-100-000-stewards-breach-sportin.html
Yep, saw that after I posted. Hmmm.... Edit: Surely they can't punish them twice though? And would Ferrari just appeal anything the FIA handed down if it resulted in a loss of points.
Give them back their money and take away the points. Points were what they were after and the difference between a 1st and 2nd place finish from Alonso today could have the potential to bring them far more than $100,000 in the long run. >8^) ER
Yes, they can. I doubt if they appeal, as most of the other teams have voiced their opinion of the situation, and they are not pro-Ferrari.
I hate the Fernando bashing. The TEAM decided to let him take the position. You Alonso haters forget that he won the championship against SHUMI at his height. Alonso is just simply the #1 driver, Massa will always be #2. We don't know what the contracts say but it is clear that Alonso is regarded as the #1 driver on the team...HE is a World Champ not Massa and he is in front in the points. It's like Schumi and Irvine, or Schumi and Massa or Hakkenen and DC...that's just the way it is, there is always a #1 and #2 driver. We all saw what happened when a team had two #1 drivers, need I remind anyone of Senna/Prost?
The other teams are hypocrits. They have team orders too, but Ferrari screwed up by showing their hand.
