Andreas, click on the link again. Less chance of rain now. Supposedly the tires will be something fun as Bridgestone have brought a wide spread of compound between super soft and hard. Hopefully no one will bring the 'brechstange' to the party and add more to the mix Im cruising to Heidelberg this evening. I will try to post some pics from the big show
So they'll drive the first 10 laps on the options, then for the rest of the race on the prime's. Brilliant .
Hockenheim became a total BS circuit eversince it's been Tilkenized. Hopefully it rains like hell and provide us a good show.
Where are u sitting? We r nordtribune A Reihe 8 Platz 337 & 338. Will b there on Sat, arrive Stuttgart at 9 am tomorrow then going to MB Museum. Glad to heAr of cool weather as it has been hot and humid in Texas! Carol Oh **** the umbrellas and ponchos are in the closet at home!!!
You couldn't sell the tickets or changed your mind? I know you're a big Schumi fan. Even if he is not dominating now, it doesn't hurt to watch him in "his" Mercedes. It is a rare sight, particularly if he chooses to call it quits (not saying he will, but it is a possibility). Make sure you visit the small racing museum right next to the track. Some nice F1 cars in there plus hand prints of the German drivers. Don't get me wrong. I like the Brechstangen approach. It ain't clean, but certainly fun. Gib Gas, ich will Spass!
I have a forecast - I predict a crappy same day delayed, edited, abbreviated race on Fox while Speed is featuring the latest NASCAR fashion game show (or something equally stupid).
Carol, Just back from the track. Did 2 nights and had to come home near Stuttgart to take care of a couple items. Will go back up in the morning its not a very long drive. Had a nice chat with Mark Webber at the Marriott Friday morning alone in the elevator with his parents. Great person he is. Very cordial and polite. I told him with the rain so heavy on Friday morning he might be swimming! He chuckled and admitted the forecast was a bit of a surprise. Highlight of the weekend for me along with new found Ferrari pace! Seats are Nordtribune A Zone 3, rot, Reihe 3 Platz 91 Its about 150 meters down towards the first turn from the start line. Not a bad seat at all. Puts me in front of Renault and Ferrari are just to the right. Good view of the pit action and first turn and all the main straight. You sound like you have good seats as well!
naturlich A dry race tomorrow!! Andreas would you like the program or some other item from the event?
I am looking toward Heidelberg RIGHT NOW and sayiong a Sun Prayer for you guys. I see a VERY RED SKY at 2110 hrs local. Hopefully the old sailor's yarn is true: Red sky in morn', Sailor's Warn', Red sky at nite, Sailor's delight. Have fun all. Wish I was there. I will be next month with my son for the NitrOlympics (TF European Drag Races) Mark in Bayern.
I hope it'll rain...A lot of drivers where struggling badly on friday with the rain, especially in T1, T6 and T8 (on that note, why is T6 called T6? T2 is barely a bend in the small straight... :/ ).
Been watching it for almost 20 years. Seen Drag racing grow in Germany from near nothing to over 20K+ for an event. See you there? Paid for my tickets on-line but do not have seat assignments yet. PM me with contact details and perhaps we can meet in H-Berg or Schwetzingen for dinner and drinks. Checked he weather forecast. My Sun Prayer and Dance (taught by a NA Indian (Modoc)) may actually work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It ACTUALLY HAS BEFORE. Perhaps it will again. Enjoy the F1 race !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark in Bayern
Looks like my Indain Dance and Prayer training paid off. Hope you enjoyed the race-- IN THE SUN SHINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really did do it. Second time it has worked. Amazing. [tips hat and bows] If you do the NitrOlympics next month PLEASE let me know and we'll meet up at the track.
