None of these are really high dollar, but some of the more "exclusive" things Ive been to. I honestly prefer the chain type restaurants (like Chilis,Olive Garden,etc.).

Unos,in Downtown Fort Worth. Best deep dish pizza ever.
    Millers Seawall Grill,Galveston. Good seafood.
Billy Minors,Downtown Fort Worth. Im craving one of their hot dogs, they use a Texas Toast bun instead of a normal one.
Pirahna Killer Sushi,Downtown Fort Worth, really didnt like sushi until I went here. Its a great place to hang out also.
Cafe Maya,Dallas World Aquarium. Pretty good food.

There are a few I want to try, such as Tillmans Roadhouse (not named after the member here :D),Terra Mediterranean Grill,Patrizio, and Paciugo.

Went to Taillevent for lunch and Le Cinq for dinner - not a fair comparison because Taillevent tried to ruin Le Cinq for us, which they successfully did! Both are amazing and special places.

My vote is for Taillevent as the service there is both personal and professional at the same time.

I think it's Dos Brisas. It's near our ranch. Very nice. But think he's asking about Paris restaurants.

France is nice; Italy as well.
You can keep all of those.

Let me eat at Rochat, just once more before I die....

I love the following, and try to eat at these restaurants as often as possible:

Fogo do Chao: Brazilian churrascaria steakhouse. Any location in the USA and Brazil is good. Great selection of meats.

Seafood: Ramiro in Lisbon, Portugal. Excellent seafood, and great atmosphere.

Italian: Trattoria Trecolori in NYC & Vini e Vecchi Sapori in Florence, Italy - love the "frittata rustica".

Spanish: Con Gracia in Barcelona, Spain, small place, but very cozy and excellent food!

I have many more to list, but I just got really hungry thinking about these places.

How many of you are fans of Alain Ducasse? How do you describe his cooking/philosophy and how do you tell his huge collection of restaurants apart?

    Two for Europe....

I ate just last month at Guy Savoy. Utterly sublime experience and the website has the best opening splash movie of any restaurant in the world....in my opinion ! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

And then there's the Fat Duck in Bray, UK near to where I live. Used to be astonishing....now its just not quite as astonishing as Noma apparently but still excellent.

I can't wait to give it another go!

Looks awesome! TFL and Per Se remain my best culinary experiences anywhere in the world as well. Nobody seems to be able to even come close to them or the incredible staff they have. You can tell how much they genuinely care and it isnt just a "job" for them. I really need to make it back out to Yountville for a TFL and bouchon trip soon.

I was at Bouchon every day for a week... stashed croissants for breakfast ... and then we did late night drinks & dinner there as well!

Bouchon is my kind of place... FL is for entertainment...

Thomas Keller is a super nice guy, and the most talented.

Robochon is very good as well, I was dissapointed at l'atellier in Paris... but his place in Vegas is superb! The French Laundry - best!

Robochon in vegas is were I had the worst meal of my life. I thought that place was horrible and the neon lit trolleys tacky as you can possibly get. Far more fitting for walmart greeters then a supposed "top restaurant".

You'll have to get my wife to agree to that! FL the best time to go is either in the early fall... beginning of the "hunt" season, - alba truffles!!!! or in April when the first spring veggies get harvested... He does wonders on the all veggi tasting menu.

Robochon in Vegas is an acquired taste... it is a bit over the top style wise... I sit out on the "porch" with all the potted plants & grasses... the food was super when i was there... i dont go to Vegas much... the Old Joel Robochon in Paris was WAY over the top, but worth every penny... he is now focused on less "fussy" food..... Ducasse is really the master. If you get to Monaco, Lousi XV is a cant miss & you have to go all the way... its not worth cutting back!

None of the dishes I had when we went seemed that over the top or even memorable. Just very average in execution, flavor profiles, and presentation. Perhaps I went on an off period but it just seemed like I could get better from a burger joint for about $300 bucks a head less. The "fruit cake” they gave at the end was just bazaar as well. I thought it was the final bad joke from the restaurant on us but saw other people with them as well. I agree the "porch" is pretty cool though thats where we sat as well. I was in monaco last sept/oct and a friend and I lucked out on getting in for an amazing and absolutely beautiful lunch at louis xv. That one was worth the money.
