I did but unfortunately no pics as wife had the camera...as usual a strong turnout including many fchatters but a number of Jags, Austin's, the Lotus contingent and Porsches//if anyone has any pics please post them. Talked with RedTRMan and Toggie for a bit, along with some other guys I had seen before. A particularly nice 64 Mustang and a '60 Vette along with a few other teardrop Vettes were there too. Good times were had by all. Oh yeah, a Silver 328GTB as well, but didn't get a chance to meet the owner. It was really beautiful. MB
A really good turnout today, despite the heat. Sorry, I ran out of allotted space to upload photos here. Hopefully, BillP00 will post here. I am posting photos elsewhere. --Bob Collum
That was me! I had no idea you were there. I was there with my son and he wanted to go see the cars, have breakfast, use the bathroom...I wasn't able to really talk long with everyone but it was good to see everyone there. Maybe next time we can finally meet up. Anthony
Sounds great Anthony...sorry I missed you. I had the Rosso 308QV there today. Your car is beautiful. MB P.S. LMAO!!! Just saw your data...guess what my daily driver is...97 M3 Sedan (silver)
Hi guys, Forgive a dumb question but is this event every Saturday? Love to come and see the hardware!! Thanks!
Hi guys, was there Saturday and took a ton of pics... digging through for the ones that came out and I will post as soon as they're resized.
Hi everyone. Only the second one of these I've been to and it was great! Here's just a few photos that I have from last Saturday. I didn't have time to take too many since I had to run to work but I'll definitely be stopping by next week to get a few more Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm going to make every attempt to get out there this Saturday with the 308. I'm tired of seeing great pictures; it's time to see the cars in the flesh!
Paul, thank you for the kind words. However, please note that the photos in Post # 33 above are not mine. skylin3gtr013 thank you for posting your photos! I apologize for taking so long to post. I was really bumbed out on Saturday because the lense on my camera broke. I wasn't even planning on going on Saturday, but my Son really wanted to go and he dragged me out of bed. So I arrived with a small digital point in shoot and took a few. There were a lot of nice cars there and it was great seeing a lot of friends as well!! One car that was hidden in the back of the lot was a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oops...I meant to add more pictures not submit that post. Any how...there was a strong British Invasion at this week's Cars and Coffee. My new friend Tom brought his '91 Lotus Esprit SE which my Son loved because Green is his favorite color! But he put it so diplomatically when he said..."It's ok Dad, I'll stick with this one and you can continue to like the rare (Essex) Lotus." In addition to the other Elise and Exige models, there was a classic Lotus Seven Track Car (for sale by the way) and a Beautiful Aston Martin V8. The American's showed their muscle with a strong contingent of Shelby Mustangs & Cobras. If the latest reincarnation of Knight Rider was still on the air, I think Bobert's Black and Red Shelby GT500 could have played the "Evil" version of K.I.T.T. There was a beautiful black hot rod with Corvette engine and a HemiCuda which I think I'll call the "Green Machine" (anyone remember that toy?) Of course I can't forget the Italians!! It was nice seeing Luke and his beautiful White 355 GTB and Arjun with his Lamborghini Diablo SV. Once again, I want to apologize for not taking more pictures. Now that I got a replacement lense, I promise to take more shots next week!! Boy...what great shots! You are truly the master of the lens! The Shelby GT 500 is one of 169 black red stripe edition cars they made. My wife loves the Black color! Bobert
LOL, you guys see my 308QV behind the silver California? Oh, you can't because it is so huge!!! LOL MB
Yes, the California is a tad larger than the Ferraris of the 70's and 80's. But I was surprised how fast the California is. I drove behind a California this last weekend in my 550. It accelerates from a standing start like a rocket. I think it is the combination of the 7-speed dual-clutch trans and the 430-based high-revving engine.
Matt, I don't know how I could've missed you! Sorry about that!! Think you might come back this Saturday? If so, I'll look for you and say "hi". Bill P.
Bill, Sorry I missed you too! Can't make it this weekend but will try to make it in the next two to three weeks. Will try to post before I come, but if I show I will be in my 308QV again. Regards sir, MB
It was GREAT to finally meet you (and your family too)! Your Son is adorable! Congratulations! Yes, the Great Falls Cars and Coffee is REALLY growing. Back in April/May, the cars only filled half the lot. For the past coupe of weeks it's been going around the block. Today a bunch of people had to park their car up on the hill. You have to get there early!! Several of you asked about my camera. Yes, I picked up a new lens last Saturday. A new Canon 18-135mm which I really like. And just in time too, as there were a lot of nice cars that showed up today. There was a beautiful 1958 Bel-Air, (2) Ferrari 599's. One of them was an HGTE. There were (2) Aerial Atoms there. Shouldn't that qualify to establish a Mid-Atlantic Club? There was a 1929 Model T Ford. Lamborghini of Washington brought out a Gallardo LP 570-4 Supperleggera. There were (2) Corvette Stingrays and several late 50's Corvette's. There was also a beautiful Austin Healey 3000, but my favorite was Michael Bayer's 1971 Fiat Dino 2400 Spider!! The curves on that car are intoxicating!! I'm sorry I didn't get to hear it leave. I would've loved to hear that exhaust note. Michael...please bring that again (soon!). And thanks for letting my Son sit in your car!! Besides all the wonderful cars, I think the thing I like most is seeing so many friends at each Cars and Coffee and making new ones!! I could get close to a page just naming everyone! It was great seeing the regular members of the "Church of the Holy Donut" cross the river to join our group. Al P., my Son really appreciates the Magazine and car you gave him. Thanks again. Anyway...enjoy the pictures! Bill P. I saw this car that "looked" like a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder SWB, but thought it was a fake. I didn't think we had one in the Mid-Atlantic Region. I couldn't find the owner or see the engine, but the body "looks" right. I'm not so sure about the interior as it has a Nardi Steering wheel and the gear shift knob is wrong. I also don't see any Cavallino on speedometer and obviously the radio is not the original one. Bryan/Michael...can either of you comment on this one? I'm not trying to open up a can of worms. I'm just curious as to what the tall-tale signs are? Bill P. More pics. There was also a Sera Blu 355 Spider that I've never seen before. I also had to laugh at the "windshield" of the Aerial Atom as small as it was it was filled with Bug Guts! Bill P.
