What is the true price of a 458?
catalog price whithout option seems to be impossible to be accepted by a dealer
15000 to 20000 $ options seems to be obliged to have a chance to buy one
    what s true ?

Well, you will always end up having 20k worth of options anyway.

In EU I think, current mark-up appears to be 20k EUR on top of whatever you specify.

The factory likes dealers who can add as many options to a buyers car as they can.

Extra $$$$$ for the factory and a better chance for those down the que to jump some places.

You don't want one with "no" options. It's just about impossible to get a car the way you will want it without at least 5 to 10 grand in extras.

So, yes, it's true. If you don't want to spend any money extra on options, they will just sell it to the next guy. As long as the car is in demand, that's the way it's going to be.

You'll first give a deposit, when they call you to spec your car then you can order it without any options if you will. In all reality the car is perfect and needs nothing extra as it comes, options are just that. If I had to order a 458 now I would only choose the fender shields, brake calipers color and leave the standard seats but spec them electric.

That's exactly what I did ,with the addition of alcantara to make it "nicer" inside and Sport wheels that are a must in that car (if only for the huge unsprung weight savings).

i would add a carbon fiber steering wheel with led display, carbon fiber dash upgrade and an upgraded stereo. while these items are totally unnecessary, they do add enjoyment!

i guess the additional 40K won't bring you back any more in terms of resale, but i would not be purchasing this vehicle if resale was an issue! i would simply wait 4-5 years and get a used vehicle!

I still don't understand the $5k front end lift option which lifts the nose an inch or so. Seems useless for an inch.

You'll feel sorry you didn't get that option when you here the sharp scratching sound as you go over a speed bump!

If you buy a ferrari in Greece you'll probably buy it more expensive than anywhere! Due to greek customs the price is higher than any other country i have read so far. In addition the taxes in cars over 2.0 L are unbelievable. So respect to greek owners! Also the greek dealer's prices for parts is x3 as other european countries... Almost 340000 euros for a 458 italia with options. Used ferraris are also very very expensive! If greeks had prices like Germany etc you would probably see a ferrari in every corner!!! Greeks take loans to buy a fast car(60000-80000 euros) The mentality here is to have a better(faster) car than your neighbor, believe it or not lol

P.s. At least here police doesn't give you a ticket, they're just suggest you to slow down lol

Price of a 458 is euro 511,000 in Singapore. You think that is crazy, check out our options price list. Euro 28,000 for bi-color, Euro 10,800 for CF+LED steering wheel. Feel better now?

Yes now i feel better. Are you kidding me? In singapore one to ten people has a fortune of over 1 million dollars!!! Do you compare Greece with singapore? lol I've never said that Greece has the most expensive ferraris... but the basic salary in greece is 600 euros. And if you try to find a millionaire here probably it would be 1/10000!!!

Statistically Greece doesn't have many millionaires because tax evasion is a national sport.
So is bribery and corruption; but that's another story.

i understand the 458 sits lower than a 430. it is more likely to bottom out on curbs. i think the front end lift option is therefore a necessity.

if only i could get a total of 6 inches for 30K; i would consider that a GREAT deal!

I drive it in Chicago, speed bumps, rough roads, not easy driveways, etc.
I have no lift, don't need it,I don't scrape the bottom.
Lift system is just another complicated mechanism that only adds unnecessary weight over front wheels,IMO.

+1. Not too mention that the lift requires the heavy headlights

it is a great deal until you stop in the street to raise the car and get whacked by MILF in a mini van. Those few inches will be the most expensive few inches you never got a chance to use.
