I don't agree with that attitude. An internet forum is not a free license to insult. Harold and Tim are pissed off and rightly so. If you guys are brudders, you do not sit around and let someone on the forum go around insulting another brudder. What did Leang do to be called those names? We should all speak up against such kind of behaviour and should ban characters like KDK. KDK insulted my mother when i first join Fchat and i will not forget that. I was also surprise that others on the forum just keep on posting when i was attacked and insulted for no reason. I made an effort to find out who he is because i will not let him get away with that insult without being accountable for it. I cooled down only after i spoke to Lung. Now he is back and insulting other brudders. Fellow brudders if you consider Harold, Tim, Leang or me as a brudder on this forum, you don't sit in silence and let such poor behaviour continue. Do you only speak when you are the one getting attack? CosmoZ if i insult your mother, it's ok because we are on a forum?
I will not bother to reply to any of KDK comments and KDK you have made enough enemies. Harold is right. The world is a small place. Make a few more calls and we will be able to find you. Change before it is too late.

I decided to move away from the forum nick of KDK as it makes him realise that he is not nameless, and can't hide in anonymity if he chooses to be rude on a forum where the majority of us actually know each other beyond the forum.... just remember Jon is SF and John is, well.... so many other people.

Exactly, a forum is not a place nor free zone where you throw insults at one another. I agree that KDK is at fault and I don't blame Harold or Tim for being pissed off. He has all the rights to retaliate, but ranting on this thread itself? Isn't that bringing yourself to that level of KDK? Don't be mistaken, I'm not siding KDK or anyone else here, I am mainly speaking as a 3rd party. Seeing what Harold had posted, I believe no Fchatters who are close to Harold is sitting in silence. He has received PMs about it asking him to ignore KDK and that is good enough. I am not judging Harold, but I believe he is mature enough to do the right thing. Ranting or arguing back publicly is totally up to you, but know when is enough.

I on the other hand, is an outsider. I cannot personally advice Harold nor the people who were innocently "attacked" by KDK. This is up to you guys to do it. The only thing I can do is to hopefully bring mutual peace to the situation

Yes, If KDK insults my mum, I would be equally pissed. Moderators are here for a reason, and I would do all these arguing via PM.

"Don't wash your dirty linen in public" - Insulting someone else back publicly will only invite further criticism regardlessly of whether you're right or wrong. You can't help it, this is the internet. Taking insults or criticism seriously is good, but if you take it too seriously, it is not going to bring you anywhere.

I'm not trying to make enemies here and I'm not siding KDK. You can never please everyone and this is my perspective of the situation. One phrase which I've learnt outside, "Different people, different perspective." Maybe at the age of only 20, I'm too young to think at the same maturity level as you guys. But I apologize if i sparked any controversy here.

 

My point exactly. My attitude towards this whole problem only reflects the relationship between me and the Fchatters (if you realize, I did not use the word "brudder" once. I know where I stand in this forum and I respect that) here. Because I haven't met anyone of you personally, I'm not in the position to provide a more personally advice than I already have.

Cosmoz, there is a difference between holding back (something we have all done for a long time with John tang) and letting him push us without realizing he has pushed too far. Thanks for your view. Unfortunately without the full story you may not understand why I have gone all out against him this time. Look back at all his posts as well as those under his aliases. You may then understand the strong response that this has elicited. At 40 I have learnt self restraint but I have also learnt when to defend myself and my friends.

 

“Insult” is a word too inflammatory to be used this time. I am just making personal observations here, what I understand by your post above is that you do not agree with my observation and that amounts to an “insult” or “insults”? If you disagree that’s ok, you voice your opinion and I will have a better understanding. Or you can choose to ignore also can.

You seem to be using this “i” word to further inflame the forum. Its not right to ask the bruthers to take sides here, most read what they like and ignore those they don’t like. That’s how forums are like.

Singaporeans are very much like that, hear something contrary to what they are used to and wow knives and daggers all out. Things get so personal, this is a global society we live in, I have stayed with this forum for so long as its truly democratic. We are ALL entitled to our own thoughts and opinions. Saying something different doesn’t mean a personal attack, it means that you are an individual with an independent thought process. American, Australians, Europeans respect that basic right of an individual.

Making veiled threats online is also not advisable . Yes its not difficult to find me, but based on my calculations it would be nice to have an early retirement and see god soon, I’m ready. Death is just the beginning for my religion LOL (if I am interpreting your threats right )

P.S you three new guys seem to have this impression I just come here to insult people, if you start from post one in this thread you know over the years (8) I have been pulling my weight in terms of sharing car news and info. I have even sponsored two junior members with silver memberships so they can further contribute their wonderful car pictures (Vanq & Fat Penguin). I have been a Rossa Subscriber for 3 years even goading heavy users to buy a membership. I have a huge psychological stake in this forum also having spent a huge part of my time here, its not in my interest to go scuttle it over “insults”. I aint that free.

King, I can understand how you felt. Believe me, I too was under heavy attack from "them" before & back then, it was a squadron of them! I forgave him for the insults as he does not know what he is talking about!

He has probably grown to respect me now in a way so I leave him alone.

Best to ignore such characters as once we fire a salvo @ him, he'll go guerilla which is happening again. Well, if we have the time to engage him then fine but I don't now. I'm sure Leang knows it too.

am thinking my matte black vinylcovered tr is looking a bit plain. my quest for a nice rear wing is not going very well sadly. neither is the exhaust. anyone with ideas on any trimming or stickers that might help enhance the car's appearance. was thinking scud stripes in gloss black but the rear seems a bit overfussy ,also like the 458 challenge checkered flag stripes but not sure how itll look. last option is to put small endorsements shell ,magnetti marelli etc but might be too racey, even beng.

Speaking of that, I just saw a nicely kitted Cayenne swung by. It was black with matt black stripes down the bonnet. A rather subtle but effective look.

Also saw an interesting GT3 style wing on a Waja last night & thought about you. It has aluminium lattice work & flat Carbon wing with two flaps by the ends but a little short for the big arsed Testa. Didn't a Maserati guy here gave us a workshop that customises rear wing?

I wouldn't mind seeing an "endorsed" car with the right decals

How is it running now? I'm using my 456 everyday & it's sweet but very antiquated feel. Am thinking of Tubis for it too but wonder how the neighbours will think.

 

My vote goes for contrasting livery! But is this a little too much for your taste? Minus the rims of course haha!

my tubis are somehow very muted. took them off my previous tr which was sold to leang's uncle. the exhaust was way louder on that car-really strange- can an exhaust sound different on two cars of the same make n model?

wah i like but might be a bit too contrasting for the look im trying to achieve. also tr rear engine cover has a lot of horizontal lines. the vertical stripes will somehow clash, esp in such contrasting colors
