I'm no expert but it looks like its a 599 under there with a lot of camo on the back of the car. Could it be the final testing of the 599 convertible?

Thats actually the 612 Replacement, it has similar lights to the 458 but go high and has a wider nose. The rear is almost hatchback....with a lifting tailgate. 599 will be replaced outright in 2 years and there will not likely be another "new body" until then except for limited edition cars like the GTO and the convertible.

I find it very hard to believe that,s the 612 replacement, my understanding of the new 612 is it,s a complete new car...... That car looks like the current 612 with 458 head lights I know it,s heavily in disgise but let's just wait and see ........

For me it looks like a modified 599 taking into account the general volume and shape of the car, so what should be the result?!

The engine compartment seems also having large "enhancement", so are they testing new engine, of new techno such as KERS, hybrid...?

Funny modification of the front by the way.

    Let's wait and see.

Its the 612 replacement guys. My dealer saw this in the factory 2 weeks ago and described the mule as well as the car. The mule is exactly whats in that pic.

Bothways, am excited...it means amazing cars are still being built!!!

    Wooooohoooo!

100% agreed - my only thought is the rear seats are not going to be as usable as the current 612. California set the new std.s followed by the 458 and I would expect to see alot more of the same in the 612.

2+2 V12's have always had usable rear seats, 456 & 612. I think the new one will be similar...not sure if it will get tighter but, I think Ferrari are sticking to this style. Luca Di M, has stated that the idea of a 2+2 v12 will always have such a characteristic. I hope so. I just cancelled my GTO order and am going for the new 612, was told delivery in April next year.....hope so. Anyway...I will be able to change my mind if its an absolute pig.....which I highly doubt!

It sounds a lot like a GTO, perhaps the 612 replacement will get the GTO's V12.

On the contrary. They will be very usable. According to the info I have they will be as usable as on the Panamera. Trunk volume will be huge as well, especially with the rear seats down.

My 612 rear seats are full daytona's or at least look and feel like it. A folding down daytona is not what I see, more like a flatter seat and back, we shall see.

Ferrari can be pretty creative. I'm sure they will come up with a mix of comfort, good looks and usability.

    M,

LOL....both! I wish....now I just have to figure out if I should get them both identical specs or to create some contrast! :)

I have heard so much about the the 612 replacement and I am sure it will not be dissapointing.

I still have 2 months to switch back....:).
