just abt to take delivery of a pershing 80 ... on my way to fano in fact ... for a 75 ton boat, she does 54 knots flat out & will happily cruise for hours at 47-48 knots ... of course, she drinks fuel like i own a dang oil well ..
Nice boat, but haven't you learnt from Ferrari's and Ducati's that anything Italian is unreliable. Personally being a Kiwi I was always a Salthouse man but I have to say I am keen on the old Sunseeker,
tnx mate ... actually to my surprise i was truly impressed by italian boats ... i had a ferretti 63 (65') which i just sold. i did sea trials on all major brands - azimut, sunseeker, princess, etc ... the only boat that ranked anywhere close to the ferretti was the princess. its handling was that good. but the ferretti was a cut above the rest by a mile. now a jump to a boat that truly shrinks maps. it's an amazing work of engineering - to provide incredible speed and luxury at the same time ... i did like the sunseeker ... there was just one problem - the local chappie representing them. he's a one-man operation ... & that's no good when u wanna put down a LOT of cash ... for all intents & purposes, there is no after sales service or support system in place. that was the only reason for striking it off the list.
going to fano (the yard) in abt a week for the delivery ... don't worry mate ... i'll put them up ...
derek, ur always there in spirit ............. hahaha ... true ... true ... or else you'd have at least been a soprano ...
