Seems that when people have another kitchen, they cook a lot :D

Maybe not in this case, but that's a great use of space.

    +1, that's an awesome idea.

Some of those cars are gone in that diablo collection. The Black Diablo GT I believe is now the one that Roy owns. I believe thats richard Berry's collection who had something to do with the yellow pages. And how many diablos can one man own, Id probably ask Roy about that considering of 3 SE30's, AT LEAST 4 6.0's, 1 GT, and im not sure what else is his....

A Japanese businessman used to bring an Audi R8 to Road Atlanta for the Walter Mitty Invitational. It kinda looks like there is an R8 in the bottom right of that picture.

"If you ain't gonna drive'm don't buy'em". My opinion. But, I would probably do the same if I had the means: Get every single car that I desired.

May not be 'the family van', it could be the shuttle for one of the teams that keeps the cars clean and maintained.

A long time coming, and for sure not ultimate by this board's standards. But I'm loving it.

First shot is from last Summer, when the need to give "beauty" (365 boxer) and "the beast" (SPF Cobra) a nicer home was obvious.

This started as your typical New England storage shed that looked a more like a barn than a garage. Drafty, rotting wood, storage for everything, just a mess. Was once a single narrow bay, and at some point decades ago a second bay was added on.

I had the covering walls inbetween removed, but support beams had to stay, which are proving pretty useful as extra places to hang things, shelf space, etc.

Lots of planning, serious hours looking through books, pics, drawing different approaches, and finally settling on a basic, clean, clutter-free approach with an old school gray on bottom white on top paint scheme, 50s hot rod shop style. I'm resisting the temptation to start hanging framed things all over the walls and dress it up too fancy. I'm hoping to keep the vibe more shop like, purpose built.

Final step is FLOR brand gray carpet tiles for perfect winter insulation, a heat source, and a small fridge.

Hope this inspires somebody here. I'm into this total renovation for well under $10K, including two new garage doors, wall and ceiling insulation, a LOT of drywall, paint, everything you see in the pics minus stuff/equipment. The black Craftsman tool chest in the corner was a birthday gift this weekend from my loving, patient, accommodating, supporting wife. Anything is possible.

If you get the Cobra, I highly recommend Weber stacks. Just had them put on after 7,000 "break in" ;-> miles on the Ford 460 crate engine. I've only racked up a few hours of driving so far, but it is a screaming, violent monster when you put your foot in it. breaks loose in every gear, another level of noise, everything we ever wanted in a big block cobra.

ok, one photo shows the garage entrance to keep this thread on track!

Nice garage, mrp_e. Perhaps the frame for the dividing wall can be replaced with a long steel beam in the future? That will give you more room betwen the cars.

Interesting combination of cars too. What kind of Cobra is it? Looks good.

    Regards,

    Andres
