I personally like to download the episodes and store them on my computer (or external hard drive at least). The picture quality is also better. A large selection of Top Gear torrents can be found here, for example: http://btjunkie.org/search?q=top+gear
Well in the latest episode we saw here JC was racing a Veyron against an airplane flown by JM. Unfortunately his license didn't allow him to fly after dark so of course JC carried the day in his Veyron. JC's biggest complaint was that he would never again get to drive the Veyron but that was five years ago... Maybe the 458 will help JC forget about the Veyron. CH
Wasn't that long ago and the new series of 5th gear started before Top Gear did. I know that, I'm talking about the episode that will air this coming sunday.
Why don't you guys just find a UK proxy server and watch top gear on bbc iplayer. Episode up right away and in full HD too. John.
I predict: "It's an EPIC car, this, but it lacks a PROPER manual gearbox." Which, by the way, I agree with whole-heartedly! What about predictions on the Stig's lap time? Let's take bets and see who's closest. I'll start: 1:18.3
I'm not too sure. The may be the first time they admit that an F1 box is better suited for this particular car than a manual. The may miss the manual, but I doubt they would say the car would be better with one.
He says that they work on the track, but they're still rubbish on the road. By that I think he means for parking, and just less exiting than a normal gearbox. I predict a 1.19.1.
Looking at the historical times for the MC12 and Enzo, I think I was overly optimistic - I'll revise my prediction to a still blistering 1:18.9. Tires will play a big role, I think.
No doubt its fab but several tests of the Porsche 997 turbo S have 0--60 in 2.9 secs and the 458 simply can't touch that
For some reason I didn't realize we were behind on the new episodes. Just thought I was catching reruns all the time. No wonder my girl told me I was slow yesterday. I am! Uuggh.
F1 or go slow - Ferrari owners want the best R&D products available, the racing heritage is a nice slice of cost associated to the emblem. 1:19
yeah, tires have come a huge way in the last 3/4 years. If you fit the same tires on an Enzo it'll be quicker round a track than the 458. Do keep in mind that the porsche has an engine that sits on the rear wheels giving even more traction... I like neither so I don't really care, give me a scud or GT3 RS any day of the week!
Does that link work from the US? I've been getting the torrents but this would be easier. Can't seem to get it to work though.
We've all called out the comments such as "staggering", "astounding", "epic", etc...but what about one of his most famous quotes: "To me, a Ferrari is like a scaled down version of...God." -G.B.
