dude, u need that night vision for keeping a damn good eye on other traffic out there at night ... spore waters have a LOT of ships & support vessels. as u go north toward phuket, there are numerous TINY fishing boats out there that are difficult to spot even during the day! it would be disastrous to hit one at any speed ...

yup, fuel prices in m'sia & thailand are definitely lower than spore ... i know ppl that fill up from the bumboats in spore that offer lower prices ... tho i'm a little wary of their quality

u DO get boats that go across to sebana cove or nongsa for the weekend just to fill up fuel ... & stock up on booze ...

True, well you wouldn't need to switch them on 24/7. When you're stagnant and enjoying the sea breeze, you can always switch it on for that short while just for the visual factor!

But i have to admit, it does look good! Unlike neon lights for cars!
