I've questioned him in the past, but the driver I think has quietly impressed me this season has been Nico Rosberg. He's been pretty consistent all year--Top 10 in all but one race. He hasn't allowed Schumacher's presence to negatively affect him. If anything, it seems to have raised his game, and he just seems to be going about his business. Basically he seems to have matured and I'd like to see what he could do in top equipment.

He is consistantly very booring in my opinion. Yes he has finished in the top 8 or better many times this season but when you watch his race closely, he seems to never make any huge passes. In fact most of his climbs up the board during a race are when pitstops come into play and or safety cars. I really believe that MS is doing a lot of testing for Rosberg and next year we may see what is really happening at Mercedes.

Agree. He is really boring, kind of reminds me of another Heidfeld, where he shows moments of brilliance, but thats about it. I think this season is the best you will see him, after that I think he will fade away.

If testing was permitted, Fred would be doing very well at Ferrari. Then again, so will MS.

This thread should read "When Massa is replaced...." Alonso is great for The Scuderia. But when Massa is replaced in a year or so, Vettel will have matured a bit and Ferrari should get him.

Not if Alonso is still there. He'll cry to Santander and they'll veto it...

I doubt it would happen anyway. I'm sure Mercedes will be relentless in signing Vettel once he leaves Red Bull.

Vettel won't leave Red Bull, and if he'll be going anywhere at all it'll be Ferrari or Mclaren, which will be Ferrari because Mclaren won't let Hamilton go until he retires. Alonso is for 3 years only (hopefully). :)
Yup. Not sure why I didn't put him in my original post actually. Very exciting racer, can not only hang with the best but out drive them as well (last 2 races 2009).

In GP2 he wasn't much to me, fairly good in the feature race and consistently bad in the sprint race. What a difference it made in F1. A lot of talent in him.

I hope you're right Bas. I'd love to see Vettel at Ferrari.

Nelson Piquet Jr. as #1 driver, backed by Jaime Alguersuari.

It is the driver line up that perfectly mirrors the pit-wall staff currently with Ferrari.

After all he is Italian and that seems to be the only criterium these days to get hired by the Scuderia.

If he is not available I go for Gina Lollobridgida.
