Hey I thought Italy is connected to Asia & of course Malaysia? :p

Now that would be a trip worth advertising for Ferrari. How cool will that be?

Not as emotional as yours but it does have the some similar effect on me when I picked it up from the dealer. F348 shape is beautiful...........dream car when I was still schooling.

Thanks! Heard his waiting time is super long..........

Any chance of you sharing who this guy was and where his workshop is located? :)

    Cheers!

Oh yes, thos dust buster. Good idea!

    RF mount :p

Does those spray-can wrinkle paint hold up in heat?

Those triangular window pieces are a PITA. I'm having problem on my 456 too. They like to crack & leak.... can plastics be powder coated? Why not just remove the rubbery coating & leave them in their black plastic form?

Oh! Didn't even know that kyosho paint are lousy. My Tamiya F50 seems fine, was the Enzo from Kyosho too? My models are all packed in boxes as I'm doing up my place, used to have a cabinet dedicated to car porn :D

But using those gel are a good idea. Will do that for my new cabinet or maybe some dehumidifier thing.

Damn, we guys should just start a thread exchanging our models! I have one collection of 1/43 911s.

I did get the Murcie roadster with hercules in the same shade as my car :) think that was from autoart. Am waiting on a Koenisegg which is supposed to arrive this month.

I like CMCs, very good value for what they are.

I took a photo of a red 456 in Italy during MM.

But V12 GT2+2s seem better with darker colors.

    I'm not going to whack u :)

Yep, those cheap rubber stuff. I have one yoshi shield left sitting on my table now, don't know where's the other half :p could have boxed it up when I moved.

Hmmm ruby red could be a trade off.

I'm impressed, u have a gift for names

Yes we should definitely start a thread posting our pics of our diecast collection!

Haha yup the Murcie roadster in Grigio Avlon is also from Autoart. Which colour of the CCX are u getting? I got myself a black one, waiting on the orange one now :D

I have a CMC SLR in anthracite and I agree it's pretty value-for-money compared to other brands!

1/12 Enzo should be from Tamiya as well. Yeah you need some form of dehumidifier to keep out moisture. Preferably the models should be kept in an air-conditioned room but mine's not :(

Just a result of spending too much time playing with Ferrari configurator and researching on car colour codes instead of doing other things :D

How much do you guys actually spend on these scale models? I was really into scale models but my first model (which i screwed up building) really turned me off.

I recently came across this store in Millenia Walk which sells ready made diecast models (pretty good ones as well) and I'm tempted to buy them. Problem is, my wallet don't allow me to.. :(

Jacky recently got quite a few rare 1/18s from MR like the Monterey Blue SV, China Edition SV, Telesto Grey with Orange SV and 599 GTO. Did you get any of those?

If you want more specialized, high-end models you can check out Delphi Orchard.

Look for Joo, 97558419 / 64534181. Located in Sin Min. Perfectionist in car restoring which you can see his work on his own cars. Has been doing my dad's cars from the time I was a kid. He is doing my interior bits too, which I have been very pleased with.

I bought #77 599XX and reventon roadster. Paid but no time to collect yet. Haven't got the chance to see other colours of the 599. For china edition SV, I bought in 1:43 scale

Yes, those will hold up from the heat in the engine bay. As for those crappy triangles, I'll post the present vs. the restored versions when I get back next week. Mine were metal so don't know about the plastics. But what can be done is to layer it with fibre glass coating. Will also show you the original vs. a re-done,this time on the gear shift panel.

BTW - I bought spare panels for him to experiment. Didn't want my one and only pieces to be ruined. My insides of my ash tray is being re-done now, outside already done and looking good.

Problem I find is that the retail prices for the higher end models in S'pore quite a bit higher than what you can buy in the US. Some are double and even with a 20% discount, it ain't worth it.

Other place to buy is actually F-chat's model section. Bought quite a few from a few guys including 2nd hand models that you can't find.

eBay is another place to look.

Those at Millenia are good but but these high-end ones are on a different level. They are hand-made models out of resin. But unfortunately they are sealed :(

I am also eargerly waiting for that. But I think price is around CCX/Veyron level as it's going to be Signature model.

The reventon roadster looks very nice in pics. Haven't had time to go down and see it yet though. Congrats on your new loots!

Count me in too! But I don't think they are going to produce it so soon. It was just shown at the Nuremberg toy fair this year. Given Autoart's slow speed in releasing models, I estimate it will take at least a year from now.

Agreed. Nowadays I tend to buy more online. If you buy in bulk, it's even cheaper with combined shipping. Sometimes the price difference can add up to hundreds, which is a lot of difference!

Winston is sure to get as well, right? When the time comes, we'll hear about the Zonda from him and do a group buy. Space reserved in my cabinet for that car! Strangely, I don't hanker for the Veryon. Don't think very much of its looks even after seeing it in person on the roads. McLaren F1 far more impressive and iconic.

I do! What colours do they come in? Carbon fibre like TG's would be nice.
