I want, I want! About that 599xx, it's 1/18? I've stopped buying for a year now as my place is like a rubbish collection centre now Used to build model kits & enter competitions. Was as mad as to paint the iris of the soldier's eyes on the 1/35th. Built dioramas & engine bays of tanks & warbirds from scrap. In those days, we had to rely on old photos to make engine bays & even the battalion or division badges must be correct for that particular battle. I didn't even have airbrush back then! Saw that Amalgam has a 1/8th or 1/5th scale & it's fantastic but could be without engine & probably over S$5k.... Btw, I emailed them about dealership. Let's see what they come up with for me

Ok, noted. Yup 599xx is 1:18. As the Amalgam, it's about 6 - 8K, depending if you want the stock model or customise. Euro drop, it will be cheaper. Wow! You build model kits? I tried once and that's gundam. It's easy to paint it clean but very challenging to paint it dirty
Veryon comes in too many colour. I started collecting 4 veryon handmade by MR but gave up because they come out too many colours.
308 hardly used but to be honest, I miss driving that car and she makes me smile each and every time I do so. Problem is, I also miss the 355 even if I just drove her yesterday!!! It is like having 2 women in bed, don't know which one to go for . I love the steering feel of the 308 compared to the overly assisted 355 but the sound and the nature of the 355 is so exciting all the time. Much more highly strung car as compared to 308 with broader torque range. I remembered someone saying (is it you or Lung) that it is an honour to have these cars and we should always preserve them in the best possible condition for everyone's pleasure especially when there are so few left. So I am just keeping in line with you guys! I felt sad seeing my Dad's ex MGA is a terrible state just recently. And we were the ones that did a full restoration job on that car! I even dated my wife when we were students then, in that car. But don't ask me to buy it back, happier with the horses .

my company is a dealer of Amalgam and i know you can customize say a 458 base on the specs of your car. Been reading the last couple of threads on model cars. Do the 1/8 models of amalgam need TLC or will they look pretty in it's case without having to worry about it?
Problem is they sell in pounds though euro has recovered faster! Don't want to know shipping. Yes, I used to build a lot of model kits, anything except cars & bikes as I don't have airbrush to paint it smoothly. So I concentrated on soldiers, tanks, warbirds & ships. I even made 1/35th banana leaves from paper! Battlescars & worn off corners are pretty easy. 1) Heat up a nail or use a file to melt/file the plastics with varying strength to create battle damage. Loved to create punctured tanks & there's difference between a direct hit by howitzers or inflicted by grenade launchers! 2) For worn off "metals" Dap your brush in a bit of silver, rub it dry on a cloth then dry-brush the edges carefully & you'll get the worn look. I often use very diluted brown paint to wet wash the surface to created dirt & rust as it'll collect around the crevices & nuts. Today, we can pick up assembled & painted kits for just S$50 bucks!!! I thought I bought at least one! Can't remember what color & where I left it Oh wow. This is beautiful! Is it from a Delphi shop? Oh my! Do you know the price? Yes, I'm serious! May just start off buying some for myself Long ago, Bell racing used to send me wholesale prices for their 1/8th or 5th Enzo, 430 & F1 cars. Those were like 3' long! Nasty stuff!

Well the wife's taste for cars has evolved from: MGA - Dislike 308 - Ok but prefer not to seat if possible. 355 - Like Dan's 599 - Love! Commented on how comfy and luxurious that car is while we all rave above the Enzo derived engine. And that was just a short ride in that car. Oh and she also dislikes hardcore stuff like Tim's CS. Said got no proper seats . Women! What will we do with or without them??
