Guys, those are after market wheels by forgiato & probably painted to match the Versace theme by the dealer.

1.88m USD is not so much if you guys check how much it'll cost to register that one in Singapore. If I remember right, it's over S$3m which is slightly over USD2m today. The factory's car price was not cheap :D

It's the customs duty that's the killer & probably worse in Korea!

How do you remember who made those wheels? I am amazed at the car related catalogs that are stored in your head! Already with the different makes within the 250 family, I am already blur at times..

    it wasn't ferrari's idea.
ferrari just wanted to make little extra by making the china edition 599. but then they decided to make some special china edition cars to auction off. they consulted a well-known chinese artist to give the car a special touch, that artist decided to do the porcelain paint.

Over 3m?! That's more expensive than an SV!!! Plus it isn't better than the SV in any way!

Dude, you have to understand that as much as I'm a fan of Lamborghini, it is a product for uber-rich. Ostentatious could be sometimes associated with this brand including Ferrari @ times.

When the rich wants to spend, you sell! The more expensive & exclusive, the better.

The F599 China edition was commissioned to a famous modern-art Chinese artist. He wanted to use a Song dynasty ceramic to represent Chinese culture. His vision is most likely not automotive but creating a piece of sculpture, a moving art including the details of "jia guwen", an ancient Chinese fonts. (If I remembered right when I 1st saw it) for the meters & that jade starter button. All very befitting for a "wealthy Chinese noble". If you guys remember, in ancient times, Chinaware was well exported to Europe & only afforded by the nobles. Porcelain making was a science then.

If anyone's interested, I have an old Jia-guwen to fan-ti dictionary somewhere. Pretty interesting to see that our modern Han words derived from simple drawings of animals etc.

These are my opinion of course & you need not agree.

Btw, I do think that the Versace cabin is nicer than the SV & did you see the matching luggage?!

Anyway, I'm a pauper so I buy magazines or best, look @ websites for free to oggle :D

I agree. Human tendency to always want something bigger, better or prettier than the neighbours and if money is no object, then it shall be theirs regardless of logic.

For that, I admired Warren Buffet but he is a bit too extreme as well.

    Jon, you have male!

Buying something for the sake of buying it because it's more expensive than say... a cheaper but better product is sort of like the story of the emperor's new clothes isn't it?

I actually managed to sit in the Versace Lambo while it was at ES, but I remember just thinking that it was basically an LP640 for the fashionista who liked cars as well.

I didn't see the matching luggage, but I think this is pretty cool! I'm not a fan of Versace, but I'd still buy this because I'm a fan of Lambo ;)

Yes, I noticed that quite a few hot cars on a saturday nite in shangahi are driven by
eye catching babes,,,but likely its the cars that lend the hot factor! Saw a 430 driven
by a young babe around 24, she certainly could handle her car when she parked it herself
in front of the club. She left the F1 gear in 1st before pulling handbrake even.

Saw what looked like a pearl white 670 SV tonight. Only saw it for a moment as it went by. Eh, nothing special. Just looks like a Murcielago with a wing.
