and bring some NEW BLOOD into Silver and Rossa.... it seems it's pretty much the
same crowd all the time (not that there's anything wrong with that ). There are
posters here with THOUSANDS of posts who are still not subscribed...

Your lowly $15 (Silver) gets you into sections you probably don't even know
are here (Politics & Religion, Business & Investments, podcasts, and of course
the elite Silver Subscribed section where all the REAL activity happens )
Plus you can run ads in the "for sale" section and get your own avatar, signature,
and no "embedded ads" when surfing the forums.

Rossa gets you even more... but even at Silver, F-Chat is a whole different world.

So STEP UP boys and girls - what's FIFTEEN BUCKS?

I know, I know. I should probably get around to doing that. I've definitely considered it; I just haven't followed through. First I'd like to think about how much time I'll be able to spend on here (I'm Pre-Med; I spend all my time at the library). But I'll probably subscribe soon.

That's great! Trust me - the real "life of the forum" is in Silver and beyond... at least
past the actual car talk, which is great. But most of the really good friendships seem
to happen in Silver/Rossa. There really is a lot there to see.... a great many of the
folks there seldom post elsewhere, other than an occasional car forum.

I thought about seeing what others in Silver thought about the idea of making a thread in OOT giving the non-subscribers a slight heads-up and saying if you want to know more, you've got to subscribe...

Also, it would be interesting to see if we'd have more subscribed members if there was a cap on posts. After 1,000 posts, pay up or no more posting because at 1,000 posts, someone is an active member and $15 is not a lot of money. Just an idea...

 

I paid the fee over a month ago and haven't been suscribed yet. I don't really know what's up.

I think that's maybe a great idea Steph... I wonder what Rob thinks of it.... remember - he's
after "ad views and click throughs" and you don't have to be subscribed to do that.

But I agree with the thought to some degree.

That's great! But do know - you can OPT OUT OF SEEING P&R! All you have to do
is PM Rob Lay once you're subscribed and he'll eliminate that section from your view.
Lots of people do it just for the reason you listed.

I tried becoming a silver subscriber last week, payment went through and everything, yet still no subscription...

EDIT: Evidently Paypal is taking it's sweet time in sending the payment through...
