Thank you for the clarification. I remember seeing one of these for sale not too long ago and the serial number had caught my eye. Apparently a collector close to the company had specifically asked Enzo himself for the car with the last 5 digit serial number.
Im curious as to how its possible to ask someone who has been dead for years for something? Joe www.joesackey.com
It was Jacques Swaters (Belgium importer). He had asked Enzo Ferrari for this specific serial number to be his a long time in advance. When Enzo died, serial numbers for Ferrari road cars were around the 76xxx, 77xxx range, so he still had to be patient for a while...
I am one of those obsessed people that have an F50 registry list. I have the list posted already and I knew about the 5 99999's but where did you obtain this information on the other 7 pre production cars, and do you know the S/N for the post production cars totaling 380? To add, do you know the factory colors? I always comparing lists and making notes of differences.

there are no "model year" for EU-market cars. I believe F50 #142 was assembled in early 1996. Mr. Massini knows the exact date...
great thanks. I wanted to know if I could take it to the US. I guess I have the answer now. A vehicle check in the UK says first registered Feb-95, but year of manufacture as 1996! Its a bit confusing.
NO way! That car wasn't even built by February 1995. Please remind me of the chassis number again. Marcel Massini
Thanks for the help. The information I got from the search was incorrect. still cant export it though :-(
FYI - this one is on Ebay now... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180540145405 $675k --- 8k miles James in Denver PS It sure is pretty regardless of history.
It's a Euro car, and would have several registration issues at least in California. A very clean US spec car sold for for less than 750K with less than 3800 miles, recently. This is car has been ebay at least three times now. This car is just overpriced.
142/349 is chassis 105081 sold new 20th June 1996 in Germany. Engine #42821, assembly #22492. I sold the car in 2004 to an English client with 4,780kms. He sold it 2 years later with 9,800kms. It had German licence number MTK-F50, then UK Nrs N502PYP and 3AX.
This car is located in Texas. Anybody know anything? I know the interior bits are all typical sticky...need the 'sticky no more'.....but does anyone know anything on this particular car that is significant? Thanks Carlo
Very interesting , i got a ride in this car in 2004 when it was N502PYP , a very very loud F50 with Tubi exhaust , owner very enthusiastic , he drove it back to the uk from southern france on one occasion it memory serves me correct , i then saw it at silverstone 2007 with 3AX plates on , didnt know it was the same car !!
